This document provides a rubric to evaluate a candidate's analysis of a quantitative and qualitative journal article. It assesses the candidate's ability to identify key areas of the articles, critique the researchers' conclusions, explain considerations for human subjects, identify strengths and limitations, and describe how the evidence could inform nursing practice. It also evaluates the candidate's articulation of their response and proper use of APA style for citations and references. A competent response would correctly address all areas of analysis for both articles, provide clear and supported critiques and explanations, and demonstrate consistent APA style usage.
