Abstract The design and start-up of a laboratory to test simulation, control and irrigation strategies is presented, which are then
remotely executed in the field in an irrigation system with a certain amount of flow or water that the crop needs. This is called an
intelligent irrigation system (S.R.I) that focuses on saving water and energy, supplying the plant with the water it needs and not the
one that man thinks is necessary. The application involves the development of a software in LabView, to perform the simulation,
monitoring and remote control of flow flow. The installation of a network of soil moisture sensors, the communications network is
described. This simulation will be taken into account with the tropical climate, temperatures and characteristics of the city of
Panama.
