NARRATIVE REPORT ON SLAC SESSION DATED


JANUARY 25,2019

SCHOOL’S NARRATIVE REPORT ABOUT THE LEARNING ACTION CELL (LAC) AS A KTO
12BASIC EDUCATION PROGRAM SCHOOL-BASEDCONTINUING PROFESSIONAL
DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF TEACHING AND LEARNING.

Enclosure to Department Order No. 35, s. 2016 entitled “the Learning Action Cell (LAC) as a K
to 12 Basic Education Program School-Based Continuing ProfessionalDevelopment Strategy
for the Improvement of Teaching and Learning,the school conducted its training workshop
last January 25, 2019. It covered Drug Education and,Prevention of Violence Against
Children In School.

The program started with a prayer,followed by the singing of National Anthem and an
energizer through Video Presentation.An enthusiastic roll call was done before the opening
remarks of Mr. Jason L. Panes.

The first facilitator,Mrs. Ivy M. Carmona,tackled Drug Education.She discussed about what is
drugs.She enumerated the three types of drugs,namely: the medication drugs, the alcohol
and cigarette, and the shabu,marijuana and inhalants.She gave her tips on dealing and
preventing illegal drugs.First,she said not to be afraid to say no.Second is to connect
withfriends and avoid peer pressure.Next is to rely and talk to your parents.Fourth, enjoy
life, do what you love.Also get educated about drugs, be a role model and set a positive
example,plan ahead, speak out, and lastly get help if you are in trouble with drugs.She
enlightened the whole MBBMHS personnel with some tips that could be used to refrain
from illegal drugs.

Next facilitator,was Carol D.Laconsay. The assigned topic to her is about Prevention of
Violence against Children in School.She tackled about the protection of children who
experience abuse and violence either physically,emotionally, sexually,psychologically and
financially.Children who experience such things have the right to ask for justice because
they were under the protection of the law.

Closing remarks by Mr.Reymark B. Briol and the distribution of certificates closed the
program.

Master Of Ceremony during the session.
