a) Economic Environment –

Identifying changes in environment of fish distribution will be a difficult

problem for the company distribution. There are many kinds of harmful

environment that can affect aquatic resources such as pollution, climate

change, deforestation, and urban growth. One of the climate changes is the El

Niño; it is associated with physical and biological changes in our oceans that

affect fish distribution. Red tide also can produce toxic or harmful effects on

people, fish, shellfish, marine mammals, and birds.

b) Competitive Environment -

The advantage of the company to the competitor, it enables to identify gaps in

the market for products, services or initiatives while the disadvantage is it

involves a commitment of resource which will have an inherent cost to the

business.

c) Socio-Cultural Environment –

The Socio-Cultural Environment of the fish distribution is that the

manufacturer thinks about the impact of their activities to the communities,

workers and the environment. The company discourages their employees in

using harmful devices or chemicals that can affect the ocean.

d) Technological Environment –

Modern fishing technology was built to catch as many fish as possible as

efficiently as possible, and it is very effective at doing this. Unfortunately, it
achieves this effectiveness at the expense of the health of ocean
ecosystems.
e) Legal Environment –

Legislations for health and safety at work:

The company protects their workers from dangerous machinery, workers

should be provided with proper safety equipment’s and clothing. Proper

hygienic conditions and washing facilities are provided. And workers get

adequate breaks between shifts.

Protect employees against unfair dismissal

Business cannot dismiss the workers because they have joined a trade

reunion or for being pregnant. There should be proper warning before

dismissing a worker otherwise it will be treated as unfair dismissal.

Ensure fair wages for the employees

In many countries government makes it mandatory to have a written contract

of employment. It contains the details of the wage rate; working hours,

deductions and other necessary details regarding working conditions.

Minimum wages paid to different types of workers are also determined by the

government.

We chose this local company distributor because this is always consistent
in delivering those products in time and this local distributor is known to
the supermarkets here in Davao City.

b) Incentives for Selection –

The company gives commission to their manufacturer, wholesalers and
suppliers. And also they conduct seminars, conference, or forum to
discuss the best strategies in distributing those goods so that they reach
their best hit.

c) Supply Chain Strategies -

The Company uses the direct selling at the market place.

d) Value Chain –
The local distributor gives a bundle of benefits such as Marinated Bangus,
Boneless Bangus, Dried Fish and etc.
