Skin care tips pre make up

MAKE UP is such a powerful tool that makes women feel confident as well as look presentable. In fact,
Jerrod Blandino and Jeremy Johnson (Too Faced Founders) too believe that “Makeup is power”! Though
Makeup add a glow to our face but it’s side effects does harm your skin especially if your skin is
sensitive. “Happy and Healthy skin” makes your makeup look prettier, so here are few tips to maintain
your skin’s health!

CLEANSER AND ITS APPLICATION

Selecting a right cleanser is very important specially if your skin is sensitive. Select a pH balanced
cleanser, it is always advisable to go for a low pH based cleanser that also works during winter since at a
particular point of time our skin becomes dry and it helps in hydrating our skin. Our skin’s pH balance
usually stays between 4.5 to 6 so, one can select a cleanser whose pH balance is 5 or 5.5. If you are
facing acne issues then low pH balanced cleanser is best for you since low pH is more acidic and often
fight bacteria that usually brings up issue like acne and more. And if you have a normal skin type i.e. not
too dry and not too oily, then a choose cleanser that best suits your skin.

REMOVING DEAD CELLS USING EXFOLIATING SCRUB

Cleanser usually removes the dirt but not the dead cells. Dead cells are mainly known as “Keratinocytes”
made up of fibrous protein keratin. They gradually move up and reach the outer layer of the skin where
they die and forms various layers of dead cells also known as “stratum corneum” leading to creating
excess oils, clogged pores, acne and more that’s why exfoliating your skin is a must. You can choose a
suitable exfoliating scrub that is gentle and contains small granules.

APPLICATION OF SERUM

Applying Serum post-exfoliation helps penetrate the rich vitamins and other active ingredients deeply
into your skin. Serum is basically a very light moisturizer that penetrates in your skin leaving it smoother,
reduces pores, increases moisture levels and minimizes big concerns like wrinkles. It is advisable to buy
serum that contains Vitamin C for smooth skin.

APPLICATION OF MOISTURIZER

Apply a good moisturizer that offers all day long hydration along with SPF or if your moisturizer doesn’t
offer SPF, you can apply sunscreen after the application of your moisturizer. This will act as a smooth
base for application.

USING PRIMER FOR STAGING A BASE FOR YOUR MAKEUP

Primer sets a base for your makeup leaving smooth skin as well as protect your moisturizer.
POST-MAKEUP SKIN CARE
Now it is very important to remove your makeup allowing your skin to breathe!

applied to the body is generally referred to as "body painting" or "body makeup."
