The childhood of Jose Rizal can be characterized by his desire to learn, Jose Rizal was not a physically blessed or
strong. had a strong will , spent much of this time in a church nearby his house, Jose Rizal also owned a pony and
used it to have long rides into the surrounding country which was rich in scenery,Even in his childhood, Rizal
already knew how to respect the rights of others and requested his elders to reason with him rather than get mad
at him for small offenses.
In this nostalgic poem, Jose Rizal remembers his childhood days in Calamba, Laguna. Rizal had the happiest and
most beautiful memories of the place, the hospitality and friendliness as well as the industry of the people of
Calamba. Those memories were influential in molding his character and his values.
When he was four years old, his sister Conception, the eight child in the Rizal family, died at
the age of three.
. From his father he inherited traits of becoming a hero like sense of dignity, self-respect, seriousness,
self-possession, and a strong character. While his mother, Doña Theodora is brilliant, intelligent, caring,
lovable wife and parent to her family that derived Rizal to become temperament of poet, dreamer, bravery
for sacrifice and a genius.

Spanish officials on suspicion that she and her brother Alberto poisoned the latter's wife. Many people
know the real reason is because Rizal'sfather, Francisco, talked back to a Spanish lieutenant.

person. Due process balances the power of law of the land and protects the individual person from it.
When a government harms a person without following the exact course of the law, this constitutes a due

One of the turning points of his life, which had a profound influence on his becoming a political
activist later on, was the unjust arrest of his mother on the charge of conspiring to poison a
relative, despite the lack of evidence against her. But what made the arrest even worse was her
humiliating treatment at the hands of authorities who made her walk all the way from Calamba to
the provincial jail in Santa Cruz, which was 50 kilometers far. There she was imprisoned for two
years before gaining her freedom. All these she took with calm and quiet dignity, which Rizal
though only a child of eleven about to embark on secondary school in Manila would remember
and replicate during his final moments just before a firing squad snuffed out his meaningful life
