Scope of Delivery
Open the packaging carefully and verify the components
delivered match the components listed below.
• OpenStage Xpert 6010p V1R1 device
• Power supply
• Power cord
Important Information
Never open the device. If you encounter any problems,
contact System Support. Clean the touch screen and the
housing only with special cleaning wipes for TFT displays.
Before installing the device please read carefully the safety
instructions in the OpenScape Xpert Service Manual.
Keep the documentation together with the device. If you
pass the device on to a third party, be sure to pass this doc-
ument too.
Marks
The compliance of the equipment according to EU directives is
confirmed by the CE mark. This Declaration of Conformity and,
where applicable, other existing declarations of conformity as well
as further information on regulations that restrict the usage of
substances or affect the declaration of substances used in
products can be found in the Unify Expert WIKI at http://
wiki.unify.com under the section “Declarations of Conformity”.
All electrical and electronic products should be disposed of
separately from the municipal waste stream via designated
collection facilities appointed by the government or the local

This product is UL listed for U.S.A. and Canada. This equipment
also complies with the Part 68 of the FCC Rules and the Industry
Canada CS-03.
First: Prepare for Installing
• Place the device on a non-slip, insensible base. Position
the device in such a way that it is stable and that the ven-
tilation slots are not covered.
• The two stand elements and the embedded ratchet lever
allow to arrange the device in the desired tilt angle in a
range between 20° and 60°.
• As an alternative, the device can be mounted on a monitor
bracket arm (system VESA 75 mm). Moreover the device
can be integrated in a table provided that there is sufficient
air circulation.
• Note:
The removal/assembling of the stand elements is carried
out in hinged position (see figure).
Notes about place of use
• The device should be operated in a controlled environment
with an ambient temperature between 5 °C and 40 °C
(41 °F and 104 °F) and a humidity between 5% and 85%.
• Because the device is cooled passively, the waste heat
generated is channelled off via the rear side of the casing.
The rear side of the casing and the whole device can heat
up. Ensure an adequate distance (minimum 200 mm) to
other objects to provide sufficient ventilation.
• Do not expose the device to direct sunlight or any other
source of heat, as this is liable to damage the electronic
equipment and the plastic casing.

All connectors are located on the rear side of the equipment.

Second: Interconnect the Device
When connecting the OpenStage Xpert 6010p V1R1 it is
important to strictly follow the given order of the instructions
and to observe the notes about place of use!
Note:
Do not connect any lines to the device’s loudspeaker input
jacks since otherwise circuits required are deactivated!
1. Connect to the customer network (LAN 1 jack).
2. Connect USB keyboard and USB mouse to the USB 3
und USB 4 jacks (recommended during installation).
3. Connect handsets and loudspeakers, add-on devices
according to the requirements. Only certified accesso-
ries may be connected!
4. Choose a position where no reflections appear on the
touch screen and the keys can be operated in a conve-
nient way.
5. Connect the power supply.
6. With the ATX button the OpenStage Xpert 6010p V1R1
can be switched on (see Third: Initial Operation).
7. Later on the OpenStage Xpert 6010p V1R1 can be
switched off using the ATX button on the rear side or
via the Diagnosis tool.
Third: Initial Operation
After switching on the first time the OpenStage Xpert 6010p
V1R1 is not yet ready to use. The following steps have to
be taken:
1. Load the runtime image:
• Remote method:
After switching on the device, the pre-installed operat-
ing system ("tiny linux") starts up and requests an IP
address from a pre-configured DHCP server. OSX Di-
agnosis tool can be used to load the 6010p V1R1 run-
time Linux image. Please refer to the OpenScape Xpert
Service Manual - Central Image Distribution section.
• USB stick method:
USB restore stick can be used to load the 6010p V1R1
runtime Linux image.
Note: The required drivers and application specific settings
have been provided ex works.
2. Software installation via the OSX Diagnosis tool is
required before the OpenStage Xpert 6010p V1R1 is
ready for operation. Please refer to the Service Manual
for initial software installation on Linux clients.
System Manager is used for any subsequent software up-
grade. Please contact the system administration for soft-
ware installation and configuration.
