Proofloading Inc. provides below the hook lifting devices to OH&S, ASME B30.20-
2006, ASME BTH-1 and our engineered specifications or other requirements to include:
(The following definitions have been included to assist you in determining which style of
Lifting Device best suits your needs.)
Lift Beam
Single lift lug attachment on top of device usually connected directly to a crane.
Very good bar for balanced loads and limited headroom. Often used with a shop
overhead crane.
Spreader Bar
Dual attachment lugs on top of bar requiring slings to make connection to crane.
Very stable lifting platform requiring headroom for rigging. Can be designed for
use with a variety of lifting hardware.

Customer must supply an engineers stamped and signed drawing to ensure project
is approved and not subject to further changes. If an engineer’s drawing does not
exist or is not available we can reverse engineer the device and certify it
Pre-and post- pull test MPI inspection of welds to CSA W59-03 specifications
will be completed to ensure the integrity of the device
Any repairs required and subsequent repeat MPI inspections will need to be
addressed before completing the certification
Load test, including Certificate of Test
Vinyl load ratings and engraved ID plate
