THEO 101

WHO IS JESUS TO ME

Jesus can be many things. He could be a savior, a best friend, a father or even a

brother. After all my experiences in life so far I can truly say that Jesus is my savior. He

not only saved all of us when he made the ultimate sacrifice but he saves us through

inspiring us and guiding us through life and hardships.

It states in Psalm 139:1-6 “1 O Lord, you have searched me and known me. 2 You

know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from far away. 3 You

search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways. 4 Even

before a word is on my tongue, O Lord, you know it completely. 5 You hem me in,

behind and before, and lay your hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for

me; it is so high that I cannot attain it.” and 13-14 “13 For it was you who formed my

inward parts; you knit me together in my mother's womb. 14 I praise you, for I am

fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; that I know very well.”

God knows me inside and out. He knows what I’m going to do before I even do it.

He watches over us and observes us from above. He knows us more than anyone. He

can do all this because he made each and every one of us. He guided us even before

we were brought into this world and is still guiding us. After reading this it made me feel
a lot better about myself. I now know how special I truly am. Someone actually knows

me through and through and created me to be a wonderful being.

I went through many tragedies in my life. Some even drove me to temptations

like self-harm and vices. I pray to God every single time I doubt myself because I know

he is always listening and I know he will guide me through everything. I am the type of

person who never believed in myself and my capabilities. I would constantly bring

myself down. At times of darkness though, I see the light. I see the astonishing light in

myself because God told me so. God made me and he does not make junk. He made

me in his likeness which gives me no reason to doubt myself or anything I do. God is

calling each every one of us to become the special person he created us to be. I have to

see myself in how God sees me. He saves me every time he shows me signs that make

me believe in myself. He is my savior because he saved me from myself so many times.
