Planning Commentary:
I will provide the opportunity for students to use Google maps to discover landforms. They will
also have labeled a geographical map using the terms. I will look over the labeled map that
they created to see if it is correct and ask about the landforms that are represented. They are
learning about three different kinds of maps and applying it to the Christopher problem. And
they are using the iPad to discover specific landforms and to correctly label a map.

these maps.
University of Northern Iowa Level Two Lesson Planning Assessment
I will begin by reviewing our previous lesson about the different landforms. Then I will share an
image of the entire land of America and talk about how there are lots of different landforms
within. Then they will get a chance to zoom-into the maps and take a closer look. And we will
end by stepping back and labeling landforms on the whole USA map.
