As shown in table 2, the following are the interpretations:

Age. Table 2 shows that of the three thousand nine hundred sixty

respondents (3,690) respondents, one thousand two hundred two (1,202) or

thirty point thirty-five percent (30.35%) were at the bracket of ages 17 to 18,

one thousand four hundred seventeen (1,417) or thirty point thirty-five point

seventy-eight percent (35.78%) were at the bracket of ages 19 to 20, and one

hundred eighty-four (184) or four point sixty-five percent (4.65%) were at the

bracket of ages 25 and above. In consideration of the statistical list provided

by Mr. Esguerra, majority of the enrollment for the first semester of school

year 2015 – 2016 comes from the freshmen and the sophomore. Normally, the

age bracket for this group is at age 16 to 20. This justifies as to why more than

half of the respondents’ age which is at approximately sixty-six percent (66%)

falls within the age bracket of 16 to 20. It depicted that most of the respondents

already are in the digital years.

Gender. Table 2 shows that of the three thousand nine hundred sixty

respondents (3,690) respondents, two thousand thirty-four (2,034) or fifty-one

point thirty-six percent (51.36%) were female. It depicted that respondents

were mostly females.

12

Program Enrolled. Table 2 shows that of the three thousand nine

hundred sixty respondents (3,690) respondents, the top three most number of

respondents were from 1) college of Computer Studies with a total of seven

hundred forty-six (746) or eighteen point eighty-four (18.84); 2) College of

Commerce and Accountancy with a total of six hundred forty-five (645) or

sixteen point twenty-nine percent (16.29); and 3) College of Teacher

Education with a total of five hundred eighty-three (583) or fourteen point

seventy-two percent (14.72). The least number of respondents came from the

Graduate School.

Nature of employment. Table 2 shows that of the three thousand nine

hundred sixty respondents (3,690) respondents, most of the respondents

totaling to three thousand five hundred five students (3,505) or eighty-eight

point fifty-one percent (88.51%) of the respondents were unemployed. Online

learning is generally beneficial to the working section of the society. These

are the people who is currently working and wanted to pursue college

education however could not proceed due to time constraints. It is denoted

that the BPO industry, wherein, the schedule work schedule is during night

time enables the student to proceed with their education hence the normal

delivery of education is at day time.

CHAPTER 3
SUMMARY, FINDINGS, CONCLUSIONS AND
RECOMMENDATIONS

 Summary – copy the main and specific problems. Explain the methodology in 1-2
paragraphs.

This chapter presents the summary and findings of the study, and based

upon these findings, conclusions are drawn and recommendations proposed.

Summary

The study determined the preferred services of an online learning

management system (LMS) for students of the University of Cebu – Main

Campus, SY 2015 – 2016. The findings were the bases of an online learning

management system.

Specifically, the study sought answers to the following questions:

1. What is the profile of the respondents in terms of:

1.1 age;

1.2 gender;

2. What are the respondents’ preferred services of an online leaning

management system in terms of:

2.1 enrolment process;

15

2.2 submission of enrolment requirements;

2.3 selection of Course subjects;

3. What are the problems encountered by the students in the

existing off-line system?

4. Is there a significant difference among respondents’ preferences

when grouped according to programs?

5. Is there a significant relationship between the respondents’

profile and their preference of an online learning management?

6. Based on the findings, what online learning management system

can be proposed?

The research methodology used was the descriptive correlational

method. It was conducted in the University of Cebu, Sanciangko St., Cebu

City. The respondents were three-thousand nine hundred sixty enrolled

students of the University of Cebu. The tool used in this research was a

researcher-made likert scale test.

Findings

 Findings – Separate page

 Findings show the most dominant information per sub-problem
16

After the data were gathered, tabulated, analyzed and interpreted, the

following are the findings of the study: (or)

The foregoing is the summary of the findings:

1. The profile of the respondents revealed that majority of the

respondents were teenagers aged from 16-19; more are females; respondents’

distribution was more than twenty per cent (20%) per program and basing on

the population, and most were from Department of Computer Studies; and,

hence most of them were generally unemployed.

2. The most preferred services for an online learning management

system is Online Learning Features.

3. The top three problems encountered by the students in the

existing offline system were difficulty in going to school especially in rainy

days, straight classes with no break, some classes starts very early, and longer

lines when processing enrollments and paying school fees.

4. The variable Graduation yielded a significant difference when

grouped according to programs because the respondents were not able to fully

comprehend how a graduation is applied/administered for online education.

17

5. There is a significant relationship between the respondents’

profile and their preference of an online learning management system in terms

of program enrolled and the nature of employment.

18

Conclusions

 Conclusion – Separate page

 Conclusion answers the main problem

From the foregoing findings, the researcher concluded that since there

is a strong relationship between …………..

19

Recommendations

 Recommendations – separate page

 Recommendations are made by the research based on findings of the study

In the context of the results of the study, the researcher recommended

the following:

1. Pursuit of the following research topics:

a. Professors preferred services of an online learning management

system of a university;

b. Leased versus developed Learning Management System.

2. Adopt the proposed system.

OUTPUT OF THE STUDY

 Placed one page after the recommendations/s. Put it in a separate page

 It can be an action plan or those that can be immediately implemented such as
seminars, brochures and manuals.
 It is an action plan, present it in tabular form and in landscape format

1. enable ease in access to e-library; and,

2. track assessment progress;

3. allow incoming and outgoing messages through the integrated

emailing system
