Explain the difference between a complementary and supplementary angle.

A complementary angle is a 90° angle with two angles (lines) inside. A complementary

angle is 180° angle with two angles (lines) inside.

Explain what a vertically opposite angle is.

A vertically opposite angle is technically an angle around a point but has two

intersecting lines that create two congruent (the same) angles opposite each other.

_________________________________________________________________

Why do all angles around a point equal to 360°?

When you find the point that all the lines meet, you can circle that point to identify a

revolution angle which is 360°.

_________________________________________________________________

How many degrees does a triangle equal to? Why?

A triangle equals to 180° because it has three lines and three angles. When the angles

are placed together, they make a straight angle.

How many degrees does a quadrilateral equal to? Why?

A quadrilateral equals to 360° because it has four lines and four angles. It also contains

two triangles which equal to 180° each that in turn add to make 360°.
