Content Standard:
The learners demonstrate understanding of how the major internal organs such as the
brain, heart, lungs, liver, stomach, intestines, kidneys, bones, and muscles keep the
body healthy.

Performance Standard:
The learners should be able to identify the parts and functions of the digestive system
which is responsible for the process of digestion in the body.

Learning Competency:
The learners should be able to describe the main function of the major organs and
communicate that the major organs work together to make the body function properly.

Essential Understanding: Essential Questions:

noticed with the pictures?

Say: Now, one representative per group

will discuss their collaboration in front.

about the processes that food undergoes
during digestion.

The teacher will play a video clip about the

digestion process before the pupils start
their tasks.
