Looking to the future of Plainwell Community


COOPER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Schools, the Board of Education is asking the
community to vote on a school bond proposal
on Tuesday, November 5, 2019. If approved
IMPROVING by voters, it would provide $48,655,000 for
PAVING & district-wide improvements.
SITE SAFETY
At Cooper Elementary School, improvements
would include:

• Adding air conditioning to all learning spaces,


which would provide a more suitable learning
environment for students
• Replacing selective roofing
IMPROVING • Upgrading heating and ventilation
PLAYGROUNDS POWER & HVAC UPGRADES
• Improving video surveillance
• Upgrading LED lighting
• Improving paving, as needed
• Improving playgrounds
• Traffic safety improvements
• $1,674,714 total project cost*

SELECTIVE ROOFING

COMMUNITY CENTER Schools, the Board of Education is asking the
community to vote on a school bond proposal
on Tuesday, November 5, 2019. If approved
by voters, it would provide $48,655,000 for
district-wide improvements.

At the Community Center, improvements


would include:
IMPROVING
LIGHTING • Renovations to comply with current building
codes, including A.D.A. accessibility
• Upgrading toilet rooms
• Upgrading ventilation
• Egress improvements
• Fire alarm system
• Secure vestibule addition
• Upgrading lighting to LED and adding exterior
lighting
• The fire alarm system and code-required upgrades
must be made in order for this building to support
alternative education, adult education and other
community programming
• $943,299 total project cost
