Greetings!
The Bong Marquez Group (BMG) is a team of talented and passionate dance scholars from
various parts of the country committed to the promotion and mastery of the art and sport of
ballroom dancing through dance education, training, performances, and competitions.

True its purpose, BMG successfully organized the 1st and 2nd Philippine Summer Ball held
in Manila, 3rd in Baguio, 4th in Davao, 5th in Enchanted Kingdom, 6th in Boracay, 7th in
Subic and 8th in Boracay, which showcased Filipino excellence in Dancesport and received
huge participation by Dancesport athletes from all over the country. This year, with a goal to
make it a bigger, annual sporting event, BMG together with Davao region team, proudly
brings the 9th Philippine Summer Ball Ballroom Championship in Davao City! The event
shall be carried out in two parts: the Dance Congress on April 25 and 26 2019 at Toril
Gym, Davao City and the competition proper on April 27, 2019 still at Toril Gym, Davao
City.

The 9th Philippine Summer Ball is a major project that aims to encourage ballroom dancers of
all ages to showcase their skills, technique, and discipline in a spirit of fun and an atmosphere
of friendly competition. Furthermore, BMG aims to extend our passion to the physically
challenged. We intend to share the event’s success to the beneficiaries of Philippine Team
Para Dancesport. Through this aim, we can show that the Filipino Dancesport excellence
encompasses not only the able persons but also the physically challenged.

In this regard, we would like to seek your support of your office in this worthwhile endeavour
by sending delegates from your city to compete in the 9th Philippine Summer Ball. We
believe that your participation will help us get one step closer to our goal of developing more
Dancesport enthusiasts, champions, and professionals.

Attached are the Philippine Summer Ball’s Official Entry Form and Info Sheet, which you can
photocopy and distribute among your athletes. You may send scanned copies of the
