The ICC Moot Court Competition proudly announces that that the International Bar Association

(IBA) will offer two scholarships for teams participating in the ICC Moot Court Competition.

The scholarship covers the participation fee in the Competition, flight tickets for 5 members and
accommodation in a shared apartment for 5 members. Other costs (such as visa costs, travel
insurance, and per diem) might be covered as well, provided that the budget allows for it. In order
to receive the scholarship, the following criteria needs to be fulfilled:

 The team is from a low-income country as defined by World Bank rankings;

 The university or jurisdiction has never been represented in previous ICC Moot Court
Competitions;
 The team includes at least one female speaker;
 The team must provide a short motivation (one page) letter providing the reasons the
team would like to participate in the competition and the impact it will have on their
future development and how they will use the opportunity to promote the principles of
the competition to their university peers – evidence of activities will be required;
 The team has the full support of the university to participate in the Competition;
 The team must submit a registration form together with their application for a
scholarship;
 The university needs to provide a letter of commitment to participate in the Competition
signed by the Dean. If the team is to cancel their participation and not travel to The Hague
all costs will be invoiced to the university.

Please apply for the scholarship by sending all documents required, including the registration
form, to iccmcc@law.leidenuniv.nl before 24 November 2019.
