Social Networking plays an important role within our global society. The famous social
networking site, Facebook, has swept the social media scene since its establishment in 2004.
Recently, Facebook has accumulated billions of dollars in the global market. Shandi Raice
reports that Facebook’s worth will rise to 140 billion dollars by 2015. Mark Zuckerberg, the
creator of Facebook, was named Time magazines man of the year in 2010. Zuckerberg created
this social network in the dorm room of Harvard University and the network spread like wildfire.
Its many benefits for personal or for the business purposes. Facebook is free and it’s one of the
best medium for communication.

One of my reaction to both articles was the similarity which is Facebook helps us
connect & share with the people in our life. We can connect and find our old school friends and
college friends. It’s an integral way of interacting with other. Facebook also help us learn more
about the culture, the values, the customs and the traditions of the other countries in the world.
Many people specially the students use Facebook chat for group discussions, while some
businesses use it for short meetings. It provides a simple and small chatting application that you
can use to chat with your friends. We think of Facebook as a way to extend relationships and wx
can find a group that shares our passion for whatever it is we’re passionate about.

From the articles, I think Facebook is the best place for business. We can sell a product
or promote the products or the services, thus we increase the possibilities of making money on
the Internet and it allows the establishment of partnerships between various projects. We can
increase your brand value and social media presence for our business, it helps us to find new
leads and client. If we use it properly, we can use Facebook Ads and Fans page to advertise
our business that allows us to target people of specific age, geographic location and interests.
So, they help make our ads most useful and effective.

I have also found that both articles told us about Facebook is a source of information
and news, It is one of the best sources to stay updated with the latest news & updates, we will
not miss the important updates. The Bloggers and Internet marketers can subscribe to popular
blog Fan pages and keep themselves up with latest updates. When news breaks, people don’t
flock to their TVs to see what’s happening anymore they turn to Twitter, Google, and Facebook
for real-time information from the people who are already there. We don’t have to wait for the
news crew to get there; someone on the ground is already reporting what’s happening.
 In conclusion, Facebook is a useful and helpful tool such as it help us connect each
other and for business marketing but it becomes harmful if you begin to waste your valuable
time because the loss of your precious time can lead to other problems. As you spend so much
time in commenting, viewing others pictures, playing games or doing other stuff. So as a good
user we should use this convenience wisely.
