I am the student of bhm . i have completed my industrial training


from courtyard Marriott downtown hotel and i would like to thank
my department for giving me that opportunity and there in hotek
thanks to my training manager ms.shilpi for being so good to me at
the time of training .fron this training i have learnt alot from my life
and i have done training there for 22 weeks and i have covered all
the departments in mu industrial training

In this training i could able to inhance my skills and got to know my


potential department and moreover i could increase my ability in
everywhere and have became strong i just want to say thank to my
college for giving me such a good opportunity and making me strong
enough to think about my future.

Moreover i have covered all the departments like

Housekeeping

Food and beverage (banquets as well)

Kitchen

Front office

I have gone through every of this department and improved myself


alot everywhere.
INTRODUCTION
So i have completed my training in courtyard Marriott
gurugram its a four star business class hotel which is
best in business hotel in gurugram and also it is famous
for its facility what they provide during the stay and i m
so thankful to every one who has given me this
opportunity and i would tell everything about this hotel
it is located in the mid of city and lots of people come
to stay in this for travel purpose or business as well and
in guest feedback this is the best hotel to stay with
better facility
Like food service clean hygiene luxuries rooms in all
facilities
So thisis the best hotel of all time an d guest love itthe
most
This hote has all the departments like front office f and
b hosekepping kitchen and all department work
together in a good way
HIERARCHY OF HOTEL

GENERAL MANAGER :MRS BHAWNA VERMA

She is the one who handled all the management at the hotel with the
help of team work by all she made decisions for the hotel

She has to made decision for the hotel benefit all the time during the
meetings and all work together to make the company good in all
around the world

And also there are managers of all department who work so good
for there department

So the all staff of the hotel work so hard to make the good
environment ofthe hotel

I found that all work in team work like all department work
individually and together as well
Tatva spa :
the hotel has tatva spa is one of the finest spa and best spa of the
area in hotel they provide all the treatment and all facilities of
freshness to the guests

where its the facilities of grooming the body head massage and
ayurveda oil body massage

so this is the best in rating by guests for the hotel


REASTUTANT DOWNTOWN KITCHEN
AND BAR
IN the food quality and best service of this reasturant
makes it top everywhere.and the buffet of reasturant
always is so big but the bruch which get serve on
Sunday always be so big so the cost to make this
reasturant had 1.5 crore and its big reasturant
including big bar and all types of wine get served and
whisky as well its a best in business for hotel .

Everyday total three buffet get ready morning


breakfast which is always be complimentary and lu nch
buffet and dinnerv buffet and also guest can order
from alakart as well

And always there for service the executives and chefs


team will be standing all the time so it makes it one of
the fine reasturant of all the time. And people love it
the most eating there.
BANQUET HALLS
SO it has total 4 banquet halls which can carry huge amount
of people at one time the name of these halls are veda
,mantra, angan and baithak these all big banquets get use for
meatings and parties for the guests and also they give
packages for marriage

And these banquet halls handled by the sales mostly they get
the events and execute it and then after that arrangement
facilities would be get done by the banquet manager and
executives.

And the other procedure get foloow by the team which work
together to get the success inthe work.
Housekeeping .

So this hotel is total198 rooms property


.and all rooms are well managed and luxuries.
This is the only hotel which is top in business class and has won lot of awards
By its quality wheather its is housekeeping service or a food anything.

So housekeeping is that department whick is in all


around the hotel and work with coordination of all
departments.

Housekeeping main function is to take care of the


guest service to rooms and making everything hygiene
and according to hotel standard and

And also housekeeping has to submit the reports in


system opera of per day vacant dirty report

Basically hosekeeping work as a piller to the hotel

Moreover i would explain everything about


housekeeping department from starting to an end

Lets start it
this is the trolley which get use on each
floor while making rooms and it can carry all things like
iminities towels,bed sheets and all things .
Linen and garbage also get out in the side bags of the
trolley and it most important part in the housekeeping

As you see in the picture these are the real rooms of


courtyard Marriott which are 2x room its a double bed
room kind bed where always sheets get use king bed
size sheet and

The process of making this bed is to tuck tightly from


all sides and most important thing which works during
making of it hygiene sheet if there will be a stain on
anything then who worket there can get serious
trouble.
this is the suite room total in this
hotel has 6 suites on each floor and 6th and 11th floor is
smoking floor suite room of this hotel is so big and
hasofa 2 led tvs mini bar and everything would be
there and the water bottles all get placed by
housekeeping persona. And alos suite room has name
like arjun suiteand many more as the owner children
name they have given the name to these suites .
this is the vaccum which use
to clean the carpet at the floors and in the rooms
vaccum get use of taski. And it will be on each floor in
each pantry.

So if i talk about storage where housekeeping store


there things then they have a pantries on each floor
which get use to make the they store their trolleys
there linen and iminities and what ever guest needs
will be there to housekeeping in the pantries
These are the iminities which get placed in the
bathroom for the guest service
The company of this product is ignis and the
manufacture company name is kimirica .

Which supply their product in most of the hotels .

And also guest love to use these products

And in room making all things work as step by step


according to the situation mostly the timing of making
room would be 10 to 15 minutes so thats why
hosekeeping persona has to work faster so they could
clean the room faster befor guest coming .

So this is the procedure of housekeeping in all the


hotel.
this is all the laundry machines and the way of storing
hygiene things laundry plays significant role for the
housekeeping. All things whatever get supply on floor or
guest cloths get wash and press in laundry and it works as
the most hygiene agent for housekkeping because
housekeeping hygiene get start from laundry.

And i also have worked there for 5 to 10 days when i


was working in housekeeping.
This is pool area which also come under the
hosekeeping and and they wash it in week but clean the
benches and all things daily basis . and at this area guests
love to come and they love the pool of hotel also in the
summer there will be a swimming classes for the guests so
they can have fun and they would able to learn everything
about the pool area

And also games facilities get provide by the hotel and


daily hygiene care hav to take by housekeeping
So lets move to the next department where i had a
training for one month its a reasturand after my
housekeeping training

So reasturant of this hotel is so famous and good for its


service and hygiene and treat.

This is the best reasturant of Marriott property and


guests love to come here for food
This is how the reasturant looks like and in making of it hotel
spend 1.5 crore with sitting of 200 something people at one
time which is too much for the reasturant.

And their reasturant done business the most for the hotel.

Moreover the service reasturant provide is so good and the


setup they do is very stylish according to the Marriott
standard.
And reasturant bar serves all type of wines like white wine
red wine and black grapes all kinda wines and whisky
And reasturant has a small area what actually get use for
parties what i will show you in picture it is called as

courtyard grill

This is amazing area of reasturant which is called as courtyard


grill and so famous part of reasturant

Guests love to come here and love to spend time here


This is the actual setup and the way food
get placed on tables of the reasturant and it is so famous for
its drink different type of drinks like mojito and many more
which they serve to the guests

this is the buffet setup which get set


three times a day morning lunch dinner with changing the
menu and the all food is quite delicious and get so placed
good on buffet.buffet setup get done by associates.

In this all things big or small get see.


in the reasturant cutlery get use of
brand eternum in all reasturant and get wash at washing area
and wipe at the back area of the reasturant and get place on
each table as per sitting of persons.

Moreover ird is also the part od f and b it plays big rolein the
hotel. Which has just one work is to get order punch it to the
kitchen and take it to the guest room its basically called as
momo2 u

While delivering to the door room service person has to ring


the bell and call momo2 u to the guest.

And ird get use different cutlery is sola .


So the next department where i moved was banquet i done
training there for 1 month all and get to know alot.

It total has four banquet halls veda,mantra is on first floor


and angan baithak is on groundfloor .

The banquet halls of hotel looks like that its a


veda hall where can fuction can done for 200 plus people at
one time usually this hotel banquet halls get use for meetings
and all others function

Which is so good.
So this is the brunch which get make at Sunday so
it mostly get organize by the chefs

I have done training in kitchen for around one month and i


got to know alot about the kitchen itt totral has continental
cuisine Chinese ,Indian, south Indian cold kitchens i has
,bakery and it works all with the coordination

And early morning always fresh vegetables come to the


kitchen walkin kitchen has walk in and deep fridge where all
food get stored.
And the executive chef of kitchen is mr.balwinder singh who
is qualified from kota i.h.m and so intelligent in kitchen

This is the live counter look at the reasturant


what get handle by chefs basically live conter always be in at
the time of breakfast.
Total there would be 2 live counter non veg like omelette and
eggs and another would be of dosas and parantha counter it
is

If we talk about store then kirtchen and all departments


where the food item get use get passed by kitchen executive
and passed by finance as well.
So the next department where i done training was front
office

so this is the reception where all


the check in check out procedure get done and just front of
the reception there is the desk for afdm means

Assistant front desk manager which always have to sit there


for the guest service if guest has any complain and any
problem related to anything then front desk manager on
duty handle the guest at that time OF problem
And concierge is on the the entrance after security check for
the guests.
As we know that in everyhotel most important thing is
handling complaints and providing good service to the guest
so for all this we have a a voice which is the part of front
office and help everyone in the hotel like complaints from
guest and then forward msgs to other departments. All these
get done by a .voice and front office also has a llr its a left
luggage room
Where guests left their luggage and get slip of it while return
process so this is all the things get use

Moreover the system on computers get use is micros opera


Which is called as property management system.

Where all the data get record of the hotel on daily basis and
the history of guest arrival and departure

And also reports get make and submit in the system


Moreover,and many more
Moreover AND get filled its a register where all the
information of the guest as the per day get record and
Get write on the the register everything guest information
personal data

Moreover usually get work done from the system but


sometimes when there is serious trouble like police wants
the data so at that time. The written information get provide
to the police security

Moreover front office is the only department which always


handle the guest during their arrival to the hotel

I have been talking about in hotel


If i talk about my work

I have done training in front office for 1.2 days and i felt
extremely good to be there overall everything was fine there
and the people staff everyone was so good and they were
pretty copretive from everyside

Moreover occupancy of the hotel was always full at the time


of my training
This is the only hotel where the business man stays alot
And they love the facilities of the hotel

Front office mainly have to look for the cash as well and has
to fill cash book on a daily basis and has to subbit at the
finance department with the proper receipts
Finance is the the department what handle all the money
work of the hotel wheather it relates to the front office or
any of department

It has to look for all things like that moreover finance made
the decisions of passing of something and also make the
budget for every department. And also get the responsibility
for the results of something in thehotel

Overall we can say finance pass the command for hotel work

And also handle the all payments given by guests and pass it
Moreover if departments wants buy something in their
budget ratio for their department then they have to get
permission from the finance about it
Human resources

It is the department which pass everything and take decision


of everything in the improvement of the hotel the all growth
and the decision usually get by the human resources

And also HR organize the events in the hotel for the staff and
help them in the funds moreover HR PASS the salaries and
joining for the hotel employe

If any of them will have any issue about anything then they
can clear everything with the HR and make everything alright
there

Moreover HR hire the IT,JT and job persons

They getthe interview and go for the placement from the


hotel..
This is the all lounge area in the hotel which is on top
floor of the hotel which is executive floor 15 th floor it is so
well designed well maintained and good looking

So there mostly food get provide at the time of evening


and till night with the whisky and wines to the guest
So i had training there for 5 months and i have learnt
alot about evrydepartment properly so now i m going to talk
about sales and marketing

Basically sales and marketing has to get event


for the hotel. So they go out for the meetings and get the
event like outside company events outdoor catering
programs they get and command everything.
Moreover sales and marketing help to spread the hotel
business from each and every angle and also book the
banquet halls for event of people

Like recently Marriott launched one thing was shaddi by


marriottand in this system they provide package to the
people about shaddi by Marriott which was total 4 lakh
99000 including taxes so thats how the sales department
work with full using of mind
So this is the final report i am submitting
to you what ever i have done and whatever i know i have
written in this report hope so i would get more growth
