As the owner of a small company, you do all your admin at home. You have 4 Sales Representatives
working for you. Their salaries must be determined at the end of every month.
You set a sales target of R10 000.00. Sales over that amount will be rewarded with a 15% commission.
Sales under the amount will only get 8% commission. This will be added to their basic salaries.
You also have to determine the amount of Tax these people
has to pay. According to legislation, people earning under R8500.00 will pay 10% Tax and people earning
over R8500.00 will have to pay 25% Tax.
Fill in the table below and determine the commission, Nett salaries, Tax and Gross salaries.
While busy with these calculations, you would like to determine if your business is running at a "Profit"
or a "Loss" by just taking the salaries into account. Use the "If" - function to help in this regard.

You want to buy a VW Golf 5 GTI and want to compare a graph with the Power /Torque curves to
that of other cars.
You searched the internet and found a Power/Torque curve done by an British company.
Unfortunately, the values are in hp and lb-ft. We do not use these Imperial values any more in
South Africa! Convert the values to kW and Nm.
Be sure to plot the graph with Primary (Power) y - axis and Secondary (Torque) y - axis. Insert both
Major and Minor Gridlines.
The value to convert from hp to kW - multiply by 0.74569987 and lb-ft to Nm - multiply by 1.355817952.
Make sure that you name the x-axis and y-axis correctly. The line must be of 1pt thickness. N

The licensing, service, documentation and delivery fees total R5800.00. As you do not have an existing financial record,
the banks are skeptical to give you a hire purchase on the City, so the interest varies from 15% to 17%.
All the banks require a 10% deposit and they offer various rates. Use the "Pmt"function to work out
what the monthly payments will be on this car for a period of 4 years based on the lowest interest rate.
