ABSTRACT

In the busy schedule and shortage of time it is very inconvinient for peoples to
spend time separately for shopping,working,fooding, entertainment purposes
in Urban Regions by going to the separate shopping ,fooding,entertainment
and other points.

Therefore to sought out the proplem a common platform is needed in urban


regions where most of the human needs gets fulfilled under one roof , which
can be fulfilled in extremely convenient manner by providing Shopping centre
cum commercial plaza in the Urban Regions.
This approach not only saves the time but also provides a gathering point
where one can enjoy also while fulfilling their needs in a park like fresh
environment which is very significance for social as well as economical point of
view.

A shopping centre cum commercial plaza is basically a modern form


of shopping precinct or shopping center, in which one or more buildings form a
complex of shops and offices representing merchandisers with
interconnecting walkways that enable customers to walk from unit to unit
could consists of shops, offices, food courts, restaurents, multiplex,
recreational space and many more.
"vertical centre cum commercial plaza," in which space allocated to retail is
configured over a number of stories accessible by elevators
and/or escalators (usually both) linking the different levels of the centre.

A shopping centre cum commercial plaza is a very significance part of urban


development offers variety of services under one roof and play a very
important role in urban development.

Not only the inside environment designed to be more comfortable and


efficient,conductive to a high level of productivity,but also the look of the
building is given outmost importance to each unit to bring forth a certain
image to the clients and this is done through the architecture of the the
building.
There has been a worldwide consciousness in this regard and master planners
are working towards creating these spaces that would achieve better social as
well as economical atmosphere in an age where hectic work schedules dictate
the urban life.

The main idea is to provide a favourable workspace where one can enjoy their
stint while working as well as to provide easy access to all services.

 Need Of The Project

India has emerged as an important player in the property development


industry by marshalling its vast human and technological resources to
expand its property development sector.
India is raising productivity in urban development and making the cities more
smarter then ever before. hectic work schedule of urban life gives growth to
the working,shopping, fooding and entertainment etc under the one roof
which not only saves the time but also social, economic,secure and convenient.
Going to the shopping centres is also into the trends now a days in young
generation for entertainment etc purposes.
These all in combination makes a shopping centre cum commercial plaza an
extremely profitable development type for investors as well as for the
inhabitants of urban regions as because it does not only provides a profitable
business point for investors but also provides a wide range of products and
services under one roof in different qualities and price range to the people.

On the basis of present days analysis we can broadly divided the shopping
centres cum commercial plaza into two major groups.

 Scope And Feasibility Of The Project

Although Greater Noida West (Noida Extension) is a satellite town of Noida


city, it is lacking of various shopping centre cum commercial plazas though lots
of customers flourish day by day. There is the existence / Presence of various
business buildings and recreational spaces as well but all those have taken the
true essence of the buildings.Thus to be aware of this, such well planned and
designed building should be promoted.
Similarly, this center is focused for 3 kinds of people. They are: Internal
tourists, External tourists and Local people. So, for the internal tourists, there is
trend of going for recreational activities due to their location on core urban
area. They intend to go some distance far from city so that they can enjoy the
environment and freshness there. Keeping in view of this Requirement, I
intended to design Recreational hub incorporated within shopping centre cum
commercial plaza.
For external Tourist, it will function as a luxurious place which provides all the
facilities within its boundary so as to make their stay pleasing and exotic. It will
help to promote foreign tourists to come and visit which helps to enhance the
business sector in Shopping centre cum commercial plaza.
For the local people, it will be the source of income,shopping,fooding,
working & entertainment etc which helps for the development of society and
nation.
 Justification

As to talk about the present context of Noida Extension, Shopping centres cum
commercial plaza holds a great potential to establish itself as a significant
means of economy. This design proposal plays a great role in generating
foreign revenue, which can bring immediate socio-economic benefit from
small amount of investments. And for this there is a need of well designed and
planned shopping centre cum commercial plaza in which all the amenities are
fulfilled in accordance with the requirement of visitors. Though there are lots
of Shopping centres and commercial plazas that are built apart, they fulfill only
some limited service which focuses more on urban haves and gives less
attention to foreigners. So, to be aware from this problem, I have incorporated
the various facilities into one so that it could act as an iconic center in which all
the facilities will be provided to ultimately promote the Shopping, working &
Entertainment etc. sectors.
