The S.Loc. MP12 has been created for plant BP10.

Assignment of new storage locations to Warehouse

Std. Sloc.: specifies the standard storage location of a plant in a warehouse. If a transfer requirement is created on the basis of
a posting in I.M. or on the basis of a production order, and if the respective storage location is customized so that
the storage location is not copied into the transfer requirement, the field for the storage location in the transfer
requirement remains set to the initial value. When this transfer requirement is converted into a transfer order, this
standard storage location is then used. If you create transfer orders manually and do not specify a storage.
Don’t copy: control whether the storage location from the reference document (for ex.: material document or production order)
is copied into the transfer requirement. If this indicator is not selected, the storage location is copied from the
reference document into the transfer requirement. If the indicator is selected, the field Storage location in the
transfer requirement remains empty. When the system creates a transfer order for this kind of transfer requirement,
it uses the standard storage location defined for this plant in this warehouse number.
Sloc Ref.: depending on the storage location, this indicator influences the storage type search within the transfer order as well
as the interim storage type search in the IM posting.

Stor. Location Control in Warehouse Mgmt

ATTENTION – It’s not possible to determine automatic storage location transfer for storage types
510/530/540/550 in warehouse BG1 because they’re SU managed. If a transfer should occur for
materials located in one of these storage types, this should be done via I.M.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE: After the start-up and the transfer of all the material bonded to Sloc.
MP02 or MP12, this table should be changed: MP02 should be changed into MP01 and MP12 should
be changed into MP11. The change of material will be from bonded to unbonded…

Sloc: receiving storage location that is supposed to receive the goods for a particular stock transfer. When a goods
movement in WM takes place that leads to a stock transfer in I.M., based on this entry the system determines the
receiving storage location.

Define Posting changes

 Explanation
Using a transaction, you can initiate changes for quants in W.M. and directly in the system MM-IM.
You can set up the following posting change activities:

 Posting change of stock category between quality inspection, and unrestricted-use stock

 Posting change of special stock consignment to company's own stock and back
