provided through the use of survey questionnaires to maximize the time and effort both for the

researcher and the respondents.

The research collecting of data will be handled in advance of 2-3 weeks to give time for

the esteemed respondents to answer the surveys that will be given to them.

II. Review of Related Literature

The review of related literature covers other works or sources that can provide found

results or related results for the research studies. With these 3 related sources/studies, the

researchers were able to found out the change from the past research to what has been found in

the executed research. It could provide same results or even negate the past found outs.

1. Computer Shop Business in the Philippines

Author: blogspot, Philippine Shops; Basket.blogspot.com

Date: August 26, 2011

The author writer had conducted a research in building a computer shop in Bocaue,

Bulacan for there is a neat school in his area.

He extracted different ways or factors that should be considered when building a

computer shop business. They are as follows:

 The budget

 The location

 Computer units, printers and other machines

 Internet connection

 Set-up which requires a technician

 Software

 Employee

 Pricing

 Operating cost and profit

It has been said that in conducting his research, he experienced that the cost of

expenses were much high for the consecutive period/months of his implementation of his

first business venture. Given that he was the only one who possesses this kind of business

venture then, cost of his income became a large in amount from Php30000 to a Php45000

monthly gross income. He also stated that printing services is a great need for his venture

is just close to the school.

2. The Feasibility study of Cyberkadahan Internet Café

Author: Maria Normita

Date: March, 2009

Upon reading the study of Miss Normita, the researcher found out that the most

demand of most of the users of her business was the internet related usages and

gaming applications. Most of her customers are staying late until mid-night for the

games allocation in her services.

Printing services was later brought out to its demand when she bought a laser-ink

business venture is situated in Oregon, U.S. So this is a foreign literature review. In

his executive summary, the researcher found out that even in the U.S., folks are also

enthusiasts in the gaming industry like the League of Legends LoL and Warcraft.

the rate of customers by 1.3% from morning to afternoon and 5% from afternoon to

night time thus, having more cash flow of income. He said that having an internet

café was such a good idea since technology and social media is in great demand

nowadays.
III. Research Methodology

This chapter presents the methods to be used in the study. It also describes the

subjects of the study, the instruments used, procedure, and the statistical treatment of

data.

A. Research Design

This is a non-experimental type of quantitative research. The design will take on

survey instrument descriptive type of research. This design will best suit the study for

this will show the respondents description of what outcomes they have found in doing

their business venture.

B. Research Locale

In this study, 50 respondents in Anonas, Aurora will be selected to provide data for

the study. From the needed quantity of respondents, it will cover the needed rate of

the employees, customers, and the owner of the business itself. Ages will be

determined to give the trend per the selective activities as playing games, surfing the

net, doing research or papers.

C. Sampling Technique

Probability sampling will be used. Simple random sampling will be used in

determining the respondents for the study after knowing the ideal sampling from the

Slovin’s formula. Since 50 respondents were the ideal provider of the data, this will

give sufficient data to support the study.

D. Instrumentation

The following instruments will be used in conducting the research.

1. Survey questionnaires- survey slip will be used to assess the respondents’ perception

based on the question. Close ended questions will be given for statistical counts of

data.

2. Survey letter- to let the respondent know a little of information about the research.

3. Ballpen/pencil- used to right of put a tick in the answering sheet of survey slip

E. Data Collection

The study will consist of the following steps.

1. Look for customers who are currently doing something in the computer shop

(Bookbinding, surfing the net, or have something to be printed).

2. Kindly approach with respect and give the survey slip

3. Wait for him/her to finish the survey slip.

F. Data Analysis

The data that will be brought out from the execution of research will be tabulated and

tallied to see the varying responses of the participants in a particular question. From

this tabulated results, description will be made to further understand the outcomes and

share it to the prospected reader.

IV. INTERPRETATION & CONCLUSION

A. Interpretation

To complete this study properly, it is necessary to analyze the data collected in order

to test if the last related studies are still relative from the new data collected and

answer the research questions. As already indicated in the preceding chapter, data is

interpreted in statistical form or in more precise identification, pie graphs will be used

to present it in a more intuitive ways. This chapter covers the analysis, presentation

and interpretation of the findings resulting from this study.

The analysis and interpretation of data is presented in one segment only since a close-

ended questionnaire is prepared.

Graphical representation of results
Analysis of Questionnaires

Of a total of 50 survey questionnaires distributed, 50 completed survey questionnaires

were returned and the base of the interpretations of the results. This means that 50 out of

50 survey questionnaires were used to interpret the results.

The data gathered from the survey questionnaires was subjected to frequency

counts per questions. In other words, it was done by counting all the checks of all the

open ended questions. The responses to the questions are summarized in the tables below

and a following descriptive description and analysis after the description.

MEDIAN = 17.5

And for the mode,

f(m)-(f(m)-1) + f(m)-(f(m)+1)

substitute every value given,

=22.5 + (20-11) x5
(20-11) + (20-14)

MODE= 25.5
B. Conclusion

As for the data that was given by the participants, it is clear that most of the computer

shops in Anonas, Aurora are being handled by the one who is being tasked or on duty

to look for the shop. In the matter, it can be normally seen that the owner is

sometimes not in the shop. However, the researchers manage to give survey for those

computer shop owners who are in the shop. It can be found that there are a lot bunch

of computer shops in the area and within them, comes portability for they also have

Xerox machines, laminating machines, and book-binding tools. Having said, the shop

has many workers for it to work giving the researchers much of participants of their

study.

The researcher may also conclude that most of the workers of the computer shops in

Anonas, Aurora, got in to work for just a month only. This shows that some of the

employee working there, are all just this years’ employee. The researchers can

therefore see that all of their income is just in the minimum. However, for the owners,

the researchers found out that most of them are on their business for years so it’s just

normal to see that their income rises up to 15000 pesos. The given income is the base

line of the ten owners. With this information, the researchers saw that there is a break

even in their expenses and revenue. The cost of expenses is less than the cost of gross

income in much sense. The researchers also found out that the most effective tool to

earn an increase of income is to build customer relationship and have promos to keep

the customers coming back.

C. Recommendation

For the aspiring business entrepreneur, as a researcher with regards to the found data

and perceive conclusions, the researchers fairly recommend that building a computer

shop in this vicinity might be hard for there are many competitors already in the

market place. With concern with the PEST analysis, T for Threat, the abundant store

can be a threat to the new entrant.

Given the fact that there is a school that is facilitated in the area but with the Mineski

and other competing shops just in front T.I.P. for example, it can be hard to them to

be in the market.

For students, more appropriately, for working students, there are a lot of opportunities

to earn income just part-time. There are a lot of computer shops that are still looking

for workers who are willing to be a trustee in their shop. Moreover, they can also

support income need because they are financially stable when it comes to their gross

revenue.
