Fire safety requirements

Fire safety is one of the essential demands set by building law. Satisfaction of this requirement consists in reducing the
occurrence and spread of fire inside buildings and to any adjacent structures, and enabling people inside the building
on fire to leave it. This necessitates the division of the building into fire zones, for which purpose fire walls are used.
WIŚNIOWSKI Group fire doors and walls are therefore made from high quality materials and satisfy the most
stringent technical requirements, whilst their aesthetic finish gives them a modern appearance. The products possess ITB
Technical Approval and Certificate of Conformity.

WIŚNIOWSKI Group fire doors and walls may
be built independently or may constitute an
element in the building of a wall. The fire
resistance of the wall may not be lower than fire
resistance of the door. Large, glazed surfaces
allow many interior design options, whilst at the
same time separating fire zones. Owing to their
high aesthetic value and mechanical strength,
these solutions are widely used in public buildings
and facilities; shopping centres, office buildings,
schools, hospitals, banks and hotels.
Individual solutions - a variety of door and wall
shapes and designs creates unlimited possibilities,
attractive from the point of view of designers and
investors alike. Doors and walls may be installed
both inside and outside, and may be glazed or
solid.

HYGIENIC CERTIFICATE
Fire protection - WIŚNIOWSKI Group fire
doors and walls guarantee maximum safety and
durability in extreme conditions. They can be
made in fire-resistance classes EI 30 or EI 60,
maintaining class S 30 and S 60 smoke-tightness
parameters. This indicates fire tightness (E), i.e.
impenetrability to flames; and fire insulating
capacity (I), meaning that thermal energy transfer
is restricted for 30 and 60 minutes, respectively.
(S) indicates the smoke-tightness class of the
partition.
Extra protection - WIŚNIOWSKI Group fire
doors and walls are characterised by excellent
acoustic insulation parameters. They frequently
find application in rooms in which it is essential to
maintain silence, or to isolate other rooms from
noise.

Wide application - fire-resistant aluminium joinery may be used in both domestic and public buildings.

Bespoke fit - WIŚNIOWSKI Group fire-resistant
aluminium doors and walls are custom-made to
order, adapted to the project, whilst satisfying
requirements for technical approval. The

Wide application
Fire-resistant profile steel joinery performs well in both public and domestic buildings. WIŚNIOWSKI Group
fire-resistant steel doors and walls from are custom-made to order and may be fitted to various height and
width values in designs, subject to requirements for technical approval. Fire-resistant steel doors and walls
are offered in two fire-resistance classes: EI 30 and EI 60, and smoke-tightness: S 60. Fire-resistant steel joinery
may be used both inside buildings and in external walls. EI 30 / EI 60

Solid construction - failure-free use and
exceptional resistance to damage is ensured by
the doors’ rigid steel construction and welded
joints. This is especially important for doors in
heavy use, e.g. those installed in public buildings.
Quality assurance – the fire doors’ and walls’
high anti-corrosive resistance has been obtained
due to excellent surface protection. The shot
blasting method, that is, an abrasive blasting
treatment, allows thorough preparation of the
surface for painting. The element is then twice
powder-coated: with primer and with finishing
paint. Owing to its exceptional production
process, WIŚNIOWSKI Group fire-resistant steel
joinery is covered by a 5-year anti-corrosion
warranty
Aesthetics - the doors’ lack of visible joints
between the steel profiles and high aesthetic
value and make them a perfect fit in elegant
interiors and high-class facilities; everywhere
where, in addition to fire safety requirements, the
appearance of the interior is important.

 FIRE-RESISTANT STEEL JACKET JOINERY

An economical solution
WIŚNIOWSKI Group steel jacket doors are available in fire-resistance classes EI 30 and EI 60, in single-
or double-leaf versions. They are designed to close rooms including: boiler-rooms, back rooms, staircases
acting as evacuation routes in factories, offices, schools, cinemas, hospitals, and in underground circulation
routes, e.g. in parking lots. The doors have Certificate of Conformity ITB-1668/W and Technical Approval
ITB AT-15-7413/2007. EI 30 / EI 60

Safety as standard – the steel jacket fire-resistant
door is equipped as standard with: non-heat
conducting handle, expanding seal along upper
and side door leaf edges, and two hinges
including one with a spring for complete closure.

Additional equipment
Fire-resistant steel jacket joinery may be
equipped with additional options:

event of fire,
P electromagnetic door holder,

The wide range of colours allows a door colour to be chosen to match the
building façade, window joinery or finishing elements. The leaf frame, door
frame and panel are powder-coated in any of the 210 colours from the RAL
palette. This allows the doors to be custom matched to the surrounding
architecture.
