1 Information
1.1 About Jagadguru Kripalu Bhaktiyoga Tattvadarshan (JKBT)
Tailor-made to run on the world’s two most popular operating systems, JKBT delivers the
original writings of Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj into portable devices like
smartphones, ipads, tablets and more. Now, for the first time, these unique works that
present the essence of eternal Vedic philosophy are accessible from anywhere in the world.
The depth of the principles enunciated is beyond anyone’s imagination. The validity of
these compositions transcends time, culture and religion, and shall always be relevant and

This manual explains the three simple steps to reading ebooks using the JKBT application:
download and install, login and reading your ebook.

1.2 About Radha Govind Samiti (RGS)

The books on this application are presented by RGS, a registered charitable organisation
founded in 1998 and the official publication unit of Jagadguru Kripalu Parishat (JKP). RGS
created an online presence by establishing JKP Literature ensuring that the philosophy
expounded by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj reaches to people nationally and
internationally. Furthermore, RGS licensed Radha Govind Prachar Samagri (RGPS) to
reproduce and advertise the works. RGS disseminates eternal Vedic philosophy as revealed
by Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj through spiritual programmes conducted within Golok
Dham and at different localities in the National Capital Region, New Delhi. Along with
supporting the work of JKP nationally and internationally, RGS also undertakes various
charitable activities at a local level.

1.3 Authorised Use of App

Only users registered with www.jkpliterature.org.in are authorised users of this app. The
use is limited to reading ebooks and therefore no ebook or a part thereof may be
reproduced, utilized, stored in or introduced into a retrieval system, or transmitted in any
form or by any means such as copying, recording or otherwise.

2 Getting Started
2.1 Device configurations – iOS and Android
Before you begin to install the app, you need to go through the minimum device
configurations required to run the app in your device. This application can be used in two
operating systems – Android and iOS – both used internationally for smartphones, tablets
and the like. Which operating system you need to download will depend on what kind of
device you have. Please note the specifications of both listed below.

The application for iOS supports all iOS devices with the following configuration:
Screen Size >= 4.7 Inch (diagonal)
RAM > 1GB
iOS device both cellular and only WiFi models
iOS version > 9.0

The application for Android supports all Android devices with the following configuration:
Screen Size >= 5.0 Inch (diagonal)
RAM > 1GB
Android devices that are non-rooted
Android devices with cellular support only (WiFi models are Not supported)
Android version > 7.0

2.2 Internet Connection
The app requires internet connection while downloading (2.4), one-time login (2.6), store
access (3.3) and performing server-related functions like refresh (3.4.1) and unregister
device (3.4.2). Once ebooks are downloaded in your device, you no longer require an
internet connection to read them. Only when you make a new purchase do you require an
internet connection and to refresh your library. Once refreshed, ebooks remain within the
device.

2.3 Device Restrictions

You can have a maximum of two active devices running the app at a time for a particular
user /Id. If you need to read ebooks on a third device for that user, you need to unregister
from one of the active devices and log on to the third device after downloading and
installing the app. Read unregister device (3.4.2) for more information.

2.4 Downloading & Installing

Visit Google Play (for Android) or Apple App Store (for iOS) using your device and search
for Jagadguru Kripalu Bhaktiyoga Tattvadarshan. There is a link to both located on the
home page www.jkpliterature.org.in as well as the e-books page
www.jkpliterature.org.in/e-books of our website.
Our icon is shown below for your reference. It is a free application and easy to download
from anywhere in the world. Once you have downloaded it, you must install the
application in your device.

2.5 Opening the App
If you are a first-time user you will be greeted with a picture of Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji
Maharaj, the author of all works readable through this application. Tap Start Reading at
the bottom of the screen to be directed to the login page.

2.6 One-time Login
Enter your email address and password that you have in your account with
www.jkpliterature.org.in in the spaces as shown below. Once done, tap on Sign In. Ensure
that you are connected to the internet. You only need to login once; henceforth you are
taken directly to the library page.

3 The Landing page – Your Library
This is your usual landing page whenever you open the JKBT app after your first-time access.
It is a library of all the ebooks you have purchased and those that are free for you. In case
you have made a purchase and don’t see your ebook in the library, kindly Refresh your library
as explained in point no 3.4.1

3.4.1 Refresh
After every purchase you must tap refresh to update your library. You must be
connected to the internet while performing this function.

3.4.2 Unregister Device

This is a very important function if you plan to change your reading device. You
are permitted to have only two active reading devices at a time; therefore, if you
plan to transfer to a new device you must unregister from one of the active devices
and then download – install – login into the app on the new device.

3.4.3 Information
This page lists help on various features of the app such as pinch zoom, TOC (4.2.3),
bookmarks (4.2.5) and various reading modes, etc.

4.2 Flicking through your book
Features that make your experience easier and more enjoyable include pinch and zoom –
to enlarge the text for easier readability and word wrapping (epub format only) – the text
automatically adjusts to fit the screen should you enlarge or reduce it.

4.2.1 Page Navigation

Using the arrow keys on either side of your screen helps you flip the pages of
your ebook.

4.2.2 Tapping on the Go to Page
An option located at the bottom of the screen, Go To helps you to visit the desired
page. This feature is especially useful for sankirtan ebooks where the pages have
been meticulously matched to correspond with the printed books.

4.2.3 Going to the Table of Contents (TOC)
Each book has a table of content page listing all the chapters. Tapping on the
desired chapter takes you to its respective page.

This important book-reading feature allows you to mark important pages for
future reference. The option to add/delete them as per your convenience is also
available.

4.2.6 Highlight and Search
If you come across a word or a phrase while reading a book which you wish to
explore further within that book, then you can use the search option. A long press
on the desired word or phrases gives you two options – highlight and search.
Tapping on search, opens a new page listing all the occurrences of that keyword
linked to its respective page. Highlight on the other hand, colour marks the
selected text for future reference. Every time you visit the page you can revisit the
highlighted text or lines.

5 Frequently Asked Questions

Can I place an order if I live outside of India?
Yes. As long as you are a registered user and you have an internet connection,
you can order and receive an ebook from anywhere in the world.
What are the shipping charges?
There are no shipping charges for purchasing an ebook.
Do I receive the ebook in my email or where can I download it once I purchase it?
Once you have successfully placed your order, tap on refresh in the app on your
portable device and it will appear.
Can I cancel my order after I have made it?
No. The onus is on you to choose whether you confirm your order or not
correctly before doing so.
Can I exchange an ebook for another one?
No.
What do I need to make a payment online?
Payment options within India are Net banking or VISA, MASTERCARD or
MAESTRO credit/debit cards of any bank. For outside India payment options are
PayPal using any credit/debit card supported by Paypal in your country.
Do you accept payments made through other means, such as cheque, electric fund
transfer (EFT) or ATM deposits?

What currency will I use to pay for my ebook?

For purchases made within India pricing is in Indian rupee and for purchases
made outside of India it is in USD.

Does it cost anything to download the JKBT ebook reader app from Google Play or
Apple App Store?
No. The app is free to download.
Can I use another ebook reader app to read your ebooks?
No. JKBT ebook reader app has been especially designed to read our ebooks and
vice versa. Without the app, you will not be able to read your ebook.
Is there a limit to the quantity I can order?
Yes, you can only order one ebook at a time.
Is there any difference in the content of a publication in both formats, i.e. book and
ebook?
Ebook content is identical to the latest edition of the book version.
Will I be able to view my ebook offline using the ebook reader for iOS and Android?
Yes. The ebook is stored in your app and can be read offline anywhere and at any
time.
Can I print or copy my ebook?
Our ebooks are copyrighted and also contain security settings that prevent
printing or copying.
