This is a discussion of the past and/or current circumstances, theories or conditions, etc. that led to the
conceptualization of the proposed research work.
This discusses the literature related to the proposed work. It may include formal literature in local and
international publications, relevant personal communication, unpublished materials (e.g. theses and
dissertations), and other similarly verifiable sources.
This is a discussion of the research problem to be addressed, answered or solved by the proposed
work. This addresses the scientific gap left to research.
F. Objectives
This includes the general and specific objectives addressed by the proposed work. The objectives
should describe the goals or expected results.
This discusses the focus and restrictions of the whole research (may it be on materials, procedure,
characterization)
