B. Motivation of the Study

This is the part where the researchers answered these questions: Why are you doing this research?
For what industry?

C. Background of the Study

This is a discussion of the past and/or current circumstances, theories or conditions, etc. that led to the
conceptualization of the proposed research work.

D. Review of Related Literature

This discusses the literature related to the proposed work. It may include formal literature in local and
international publications, relevant personal communication, unpublished materials (e.g. theses and
dissertations), and other similarly verifiable sources.

Discussion may include the following:

1. Status of the problem/topic under study
2. Relation to the general and specific objectives
3. Demonstration of inconsistencies in results, data gaps, and methodological inadequacies
4. Relation to other researches in the field

E. Statement of the Research Problem

This is a discussion of the research problem to be addressed, answered or solved by the proposed
work. This addresses the scientific gap left to research.

F. Objectives

This includes the general and specific objectives addressed by the proposed work. The objectives
should describe the goals or expected results.

G. Significance of the Study

Explain the importance, contribution or expected utility of this proposed research.

H. Scope and Limitations

This discusses the focus and restrictions of the whole research (may it be on materials, procedure,
characterization)

The detailed methodology includes sample preparation for all characterization to be performed and
