❖ The reverse engineering process in itself is not concerned with creating a copy or
changing the artifact in some way; it is only an analysis in order to deduce design
features from products with little or no additional knowledge about the procedures
involved in their original production
❖ The goal of the reverse engineering process can simply be a legacy system
❖ To improve the skill of engineer.
❖ The basic of the reverse engineering is to thinking the problem and analyze it.
❖ A primary purpose of reverse engineering thinking is to summarize.
❖ Improve the skill of managing.
❖ Necessary for upcoming engineers to understand the problem and managing it and
directing it.
❖ It is very important for upcoming engineers like us to develop our thinking skill,

1.4 IDENTIFICATION OF COMPONENT FOR REVERSE
ENGINEERING
12
CHAPER 2
APPLICATION OF REVERSE ENGINEERING
• The piston and cylinder assembly forms the hydraulic car lift mechanism.
• Cylinder, in this piston is connected to a piston rod moves forward and backward
direction and it pushes the hydraulic oil to do the operation
2. Motor:
13
• The power produced by a motor is determined by the flow and pressure drop
of the motor
3. SYRINGE:
14
4. Elevator/Lift:
• An elevator or lift is a transport device used to move goods, heavy or huge item
like car bike, luggage, people etc from one floor to another floor.
• A hydraulic lift for automobiles is an example of a force multiplied by hydraulic
press, based on Pascal's principle. The fluid in the small cylinder must be moved
much further than the distance the car is lifted
5. Hydraulic oil:
• Power steering fluid is type of hydraulic fluid. Most are mineral oil or silicone
based fluids, while some use automatic transmission fluid, made from
synthetic base oil.

2.2 Prior art research.
Prior art research is all about the existing, it is an evidence that your invention is
already is known, somehow through any medium. An existing product is the most obvious
form of prior art.
• Scamper tool is the concept linking with the reverse engineering, as we learn
the words that it holds, it gives us the brief idea of what to use and what not.
• Thus for our product, understanding the need of the product, we showdown
the tool as shown below.
➢ SUBSTITUTE:-
16
➢ COMBINE:-
➢ ADOPT:-
• Can be used in airport, port for lift the heavy bags, car etc heavy item.
➢ MODIFY:-
• Motor
• Compressor
• Elevator
• Design
• In airport(for luggage)
• Lift the heavy machine
• Hydraulic robot etc
➢ REDESIGN:-

❖ Lifting the car
❖ Accident
❖ Traffic jam
❖ Car servicing
❖ Car washing
• HAPPY: Due to hydraulic lift project people has started using this
technology due to this skilled labours got work for operating the lift any
default in the lift was also solved by them due to this youth got work in
this sector and hence the development of the country boons.
21
• HAPPY: Once I went for my car repairing in the workshop all lifter
were design on electric use but at that day there was electricity issue so it
was difficult to repair the car but the workshop had one hydraulic lifter
which helped to decrease the difficulty time.
• Sad: Once I was going to wash my car in garage works washed the
window, side glass, front glass, in short Interior of the car, but going
down the car and washed it is so difficult for the worker because of the
lack of technologies ,like hydraulic lifter.
• Sad: I was going to servicing my car in garage. The car was standing
on the lift. The lift or elevator works on the gear arrangement. When
worker ON switch of the elevator, it moves on upward direction, at
moment the lift was stop and not working, because of the teeth of gear
were broken.

CHAPTER 6 LEARNING NEED MATRIX
• Learning Needs Matrix will help students to identify the learning requirements at an
early stage along with prioritization of specific learning along with defined time
duration/ time allocation for each.
• Identification will be focused with listing out Syllabus based and out of syllabus
learning & skill development.
• Students identify the need of learning.
• Students easily and early identify the prioritization of specific learning need.
• Students are to identify requirements in each four dimension.
• Priority learning shall be taken up in Sem. IV of BE II (At least one from any of the
four quadrants by each student).
• By the end of BE students will be developing working model .By that time ,most of
all quadrant shall be covered under learning.
• Supportive aspects (with least priority) shall be placed in BE IV.
• Discretion lies with faculty guide and students group to identify prioritization and set
learning time lies targets.
• Once product components are identified, evaluated and checked for novelty, next
important task is to identify learning requirements well in advance.
