1. Start with crank at Bottom Dead Center STROKE SATISFACTORY ACCEPTABLE RE-ALIGNMENT
2. Move crank to position 'A' and fit gauge between the webs, set 1800 ABOVE 0.14 0.23 0.45
dial to zero. 1600 0.12 0.20 0.40
1400 0.10 0.18 0.33
3. Continue turning engine in direction shown (ahead direction ) and *1200 0.09 0.16 0.29
read gauge at position 'B', 'C', 'D', and 'E' of crankpin, without
1000 0.08 0.14 0.25
stopping movement of crankshaft.
800 0.07 0.11 0.20
4. Opening of webs to be recorded as + (plus). 600 0.055 0.08 0.16
6. Closing of webs to be recorded as - (minus). 400 0.03 0.06 0.11
200 0.02 0.03 0.06
