I. OBJECTIVES

A. Presenting the new 1. The teacher will present the objective.

B. Activity 1. The teacher will conduct a “Guess Me? Game”.
1.1. The teacher will ask two volunteers to
act out “a child who gathers and eats food
coming from the garbage".

2.2. Student will give their explanation about
their strategies of making conclusion.
D. Developing new skills (1) 1. The class will be grouped into 3.

2.1 The students will give their inferences


based on the picture; they are asked to
answer the following questions:

a) How is the girl feeling? How do you know?


b) Why is she feeling that way?
c) Who is the man?
d) Where are they?
e) Does the title give you any clues about this
image?
f) What are the characters thinking?

2.2. Students are only given 10 minutes to


complete the task.
2.3. Outputs will be posted on the board and
each group will have a representative to
explain their work.

E. Developing new skills (2) 1. The class will be divided into four groups.
1.1. Each group will be given an envelope.
1.2. Each envelope has a task card and
materials for
their activity (Reading Material, Marker
and Manila paper).
1.3. They are to follow the task card for 15
minutes and reporting 5 minutes; and
1.4. After which they will be presenting their
work in the class.
F. Abstraction 1. The teacher will present to the class what is
Inferring and how they can use it in making their
own conclusions.

Drawing conclusion- it is based from the


inferred information.
