PRELIMINARY

A. BACKGROUND
English is a language that is also used in the business world the essence of business
related to the purpose, background, ways, and results. English language business is very
important because in business, a businessman must be very obliged to speak english.
Teachers are trying to solve problems that are important to human life, either
directly or indirectly. Through critical testing, the philosopher tries to evaluate the
information and beliefs that we have about the universe and the busyness of the human
world in business.
The background of the critic This chapter is because the critics of this chapter is one
of the fulfillment of the task of the author. In addition the authors do the criticism solely
because the author wants to fix the shortcomings contained in this chapter. The author
does not intend to find fault with the creator of this chapter, but only to be more complete
because no human being escaped the error.

B. AIM

The purpose of this writing is:


1. To fulfill the task of the English language course of business
2. Know the advantages and disadvantages of the three books.
3. Analyze one material from all three books.

C. BENEFITS
The benefit of this task is to train students to compare one book with another book
critically and relevant in the process of studying one or more materials from various sources.

DISCUSSION OF MATERIAL
A. The Main Book

This business English book was written by Simon Sweeney. This book is published
by the press university cambridge press and this book is at the same time a key for the
business English course. Business English course is one of the Work Behavior Courses
(MPB) for students of the study program of education. This course to build and develop the
ability to eliminate and understand the business world and other business matters in
communicating in business.
In the chapters this book discusses , cultural diversity and socialising , telephoning ,
presentation , meating, negotiations, Our lives are not silent. Developing countries, which
enhance economic relations between countries, there are new forms of cooperation in
business (eg, international companies). Of course, every time it takes a skilled worker to be
owned not only in English, and sometimes in some languages at a high level. However, in the
XXI century greatly increased the demand for qualified people who can communicate
fluently in English in business. There is not just one UK effort for all sectors, be it economic
or political. There are, of course, basic knowledge and skills that form the backbone of
information in the English business. A study followed by the profession in which the person
works, or who is currently studying. Only in this way can be qualitative to master English for
businesscommunication.
Which also includes the concept «English for business communication»?.Typically,
employers, employees of international companies, secretaries must be able to communicate,
correspondence behavior and all documentation in English. They should be easy to continue
in English and present themselves in an interview. For them it is not difficult to talk on the
phone with representatives of foreign companies. They are able to negotiate or presentations
in English. Ability to organize travel, create documents to support competent business
conversations - all of the above, and increase the level of professionalism of people who have
mastered and continue to master English for business communication.
Communication in business becomes important in everything that concerns
everything in business to avoid misunderstanding. It is also driven by activities such as
marketing that would require good communication considering this would be an assessment
of the quality of the business either by consumers, colleagues, or the investor. So when a
company opens job vacancies are not uncommon meet the requirements that must be
possessed by prospective employees that is able to communicate well. Communication itself

is a process of delivering and receiving information from one person to another. So when the
communication can be done properly it will not cause different perceptions between the
informer and the recipient of the information.

B. Comparative Book I
English in business is no stranger to businessmen and learners who are learning
English, English is very necessary for the business world, not business in the country and also
abroad.In this book to discuss about the three sectors of the economy, management, company
structure, work and motivation, management and cultural diversity, recruitment, labour
relations, production, product, marketing, advertising, promotional tools, accounting and
financial statement, banking, stock and share, bonds, futures and derivatives, market structure
and competition, takeovers margers and boyouts, efficiency and employment, the social
responsibility of business, etc.
Business English is very important nowadays because English now also has begun
to dominate the realm of the business world. The more global the world makes the business
more oriented to English, plus the business that generally always go international then further
strengthen the reason how important business english. In the business world, skills in
business english there are many benefits for business people, including English is useful
when business people are asked to deliver English presentations in front of corporate clients,
making it easier for us to increase knowledge about business development, english
conversation in the business world and certainly increase the rate of existing business.

English is a universal language spoken in different parts of the world. Between one
country and another, English also becomes an international language in all its affairs and
inter-state aspects. And now, with the growing and expanding era of globalization makes the
use of English in all aspects and affairs of life becomes increasingly dominant, including
business english in the business world. In the aspect of education, students are required to
master or understand the number one foreign language in the world for the sake of
achievement and graduation. In addition, the ability of English can also be a benchmark
whether a person can get a scholarship achievement or position in a company. Of the few
reasons it can be concluded that English is one of the critical success factors in many fields
and aspects.

Correspondence science has a vital role in the smooth running of a business.
With appropriate correspondence science will ensure the process of correspondence smoothly
so that business development can go faster and ready to reap maximum profit.
Today's business correspondence is implemented in the form of making letters using
information technology. Microsoft Word 2010 is the most ideal weapon to compose business
letters practically and efficiently.
In carrying out the daily activities of a company will not be separated from the
activities of correspondence. It may even be said that the activity of this correspondence is a
vein of a company. From the outflow of this letter we can measure the frequency and
intensity of communication that takes place in a company.
Organizing a message requires the proper grouping of ideas. There are two fairly basic
organizational approaches: direct and indirect approaches. With a direct approach, the main
idea is placed in the previous section and then followed by supporting evidence, while the
indirect approach, supporting evidence is placed earlier, followed by the main idea.
The immediate approach is very well applied to the messages to be delivered. Meanwhile, the
indirect approach is appropriate for people who are skeptical or unhappy about the messages
to be delivered.

The role of correspondence in business
Correspondence in business has the following roles:
Creating a Good and Clear Letter
In everyday life, errors in the writing of various letters still occur. For example, the
order of sentences is incomplete, convoluted, punctuation improper, grammatical irregular,
and incorrectly adopt the form and model of the letter. The error is caused by several things,
including:
There is no direction and control on how to write a good letter, both within the family
and the organization, and
Society itself is too easy to forgive mistakes in writing letters.

Indirect correspondence activity is a learning process in creating a good, clear, and precise
letter. Creating Good Cooperation,The company can not achieve its goals without
cooperating with others. In order to work with other parties, the company needs to maintain
good communication. The other party will support the creation of good cooperation.
Spread Activities not everyone in the company automatically knows the activities that occur
between companies with outsiders. Correspondence plays an important role in spreading

Advantages
1. The main book is very helpful for students and students because it contains many

Disadvantages

Based on the book's criticism, the author can draw the conclusion that the printed
book is already good. Because the new innovations written in the book trigger the interest of
the readers, as well as the methods discussed therein in accordance with the reality of the
environment. But in the book there are still a few weaknesses. As we know that human
beings can not be perfect and can not escape from mistakes. The author's criticism is solely
for the improvement of the book in the future, not the intent to find fault with no evidence.

Suggestion
For the sake of improvement for the future there needs to be a constructive
suggestion. thus the author's suggestion is that it is necessary to re-check before printing the
book, in the sense that not only the author who checks but also the parties involved also
participate
