NETAFIM™ DRIPPERS
BIG ADVANTAGE IN THE SMALL DETAILS
The dripper is made of 2 plastic parts – a box and a cover with a silicon diaphragm between them.
Water outlet
Cover
Collecting
channels
Water enters the dripper through the filter slots to the collecting channels, and then through the AS|RC|CNL mechanism to
the first half of the water flow path. Through the hole in the diaphragm it passes to the second half of the water flow path
and then directly to the compensation chamber where from it exits through the outlet hole punched in the pipe.
FILTER
ELEMENT UNIRAM™ CHARACTERISTICS IMPORTANCE & BENEFITS
Prevents penetration of coarse ■ Especially large, effective filtration area > significantly larger ■ The dripper continues to operate
particles inside the flow-path, does than any other filter in the market. perfectly even when most of the slots
not get blocked, thus preventing ■ Many deep short independent slots connecting in parallel to are clogged.
the flow path from becoming the wide collecting channels (partially covered). ■ The best clog resistant filter in the
dripper’s “bottle-neck” ■ Patent protected slots and collecting channels structure market.
allowing anti-siphon, non leakage mechanism (CNL) ■ Prevents dirt particles from plugging the
implementation without reducing filtration area. flow path.
■ Water flow in dripperline continually washes the filters.
■ Slot width is smaller than the dripper flow path minimal
dimension.
COMPENSATION CHAMBER
ELEMENT UNIRAM™ CHARACTERISTICS IMPORTANCE & BENEFITS
Keeps a constant pressure ■ Large, deep chamber > efficient self cleaning at the whole ■ Low pressure compensation leads to
differential upon the labyrinth, range of inlet pressures. energy saving.
regardless of the inlet pressure, ■ Preserves constant low pressure differential upon the ■ Wide pressure range allows long laterals
thus maintainin a constant labyrinth. and big operations.
flow-rate ■ Compensation large-scale allows long
term uniformity and accuracy.
dripper action.
Inlet ■ In the circled area the diaphragm forms a small flow path against the
Pressure “0”
Decreased pressure 0.5 bar compensation hole to lose the rest of the inlet pressure and thus
lower than the inlet pressure keeping a constant flow rate.
■ In case of full or partial clogging, flow is reduced, the labyrinth loses
less pressure and the diaphragm deflects less, opening a larger flow
path to the compensation hole for the dirt to be flushed out.
This is a continuous self-flushing!

SEDIMENTATION ZONES
ELEMENT UNIRAM™ CHARACTERISTICS IMPORTANCE & BENEFITS
Zones between dripper parts where ■ Minimal, short sedimentation zones prevent dirt ■ Minimal sedimentation amounts.
dirt settles resulting from low laminar accumulation. ■ Excellent clog resistance.
flow. ■ Flat dripper > no side to side water passage.
■ Direct connection between water flow path and
compensation chamber > no sedimentation zones.
Other
Cylindrical drippers:
■ Water entry and compensation chamber on one side.
■ Side to side movement, back and forth, slow laminar flow allows for sedimentation.
■ The labyrinth is welded to inner face of the pipe on the other side
Other
Small diaphragm so water leaves the labyrinth
through a connecting hole to a connecting pool Connecting hole
welded to the pipe (where dirt particles may
accumulate) and through another hole to the
compensation chamber.
