402 Holy Hours were kept before the Blessed Sacrament this past week.
“Happy are they invited to the wedding feast with the Lamb.” (All I ask is that
you Love me!) Happiness is responding to Our Lord’s invitation to a deep union
with HIM in Eucharistic Adoration. Today YOU, yes YOU and everyone else
are given an invitation to be with Christ for an hour. Any hour is very pleasing
to HIM and is deeply appreciated by HIM. Know that God will bless you ten times as
much for it because your sacrifice is the language of love.
We have two vacant hours, Monday 9-10pm and Thursday 8-9pm. Call John
Kulig at 330-848-4663, Kathy Kelly at 330-753-2850 or Joie Maples at 330-745-6852.

It is that time of the year again when the hour for locking the church doors
change. From Labor Day through Memorial Day the doors are locked at 6:00pm.
Therefore, beginning September 8, we will be locking the doors at 6:00pm

(Insert Graphic 2404-0048.tif) A Barberton Area Community Ministry item for the month of
September is Peanut Butter & Jelly. All donations can be placed in the bench in front of the giving
tree in the vestibule of the church. Donations are picked up on Monday mornings. Thank you

Time, Talent & Treasure

Totals are not available see next week’s bulletin

It is that time of year again! A new season of RCIA is about to begin and in order
to be hospitable and serve the Inquirers well, several things are needed: Prayer
Partners (make a commitment to pray in a regular way for an Inquirer); many
people to provide a simple snack for a weekly session and parish sponsors. It
is common for inquirers to have difficulty finding an appropriate sponsor or to
have someone who can be present for Rites celebrated and/or to be a companion
on the journey, this should not be a concern for you. If our Lord is prompting you to
respond to one of these needs – or to find out more, please call Fr. Bill Browne at 330-
745-0011. R.C.I.A. begins tomorrow Monday, September 9 at 7:00pm in the rectory.

Twenty-Third Sunday in Ordinary Time

Successful family life requires forgiveness – many times! Each time we forgive from the heart, our heart
becomes more like Jesus’ heart. Yet this forgiveness must be mutual among all members. A family
member who cannot forgive or accept forgiveness may need help from a priest or therapist.

There is still room, come and join a bible study of the Gospel of Luke. We’ll
be using a study guide with commentary and notes by Scott Hahn and
Curtis Mitch. Study guides will be provided to all participants. There will be
seven weekly sessions meeting in the rectory beginning tomorrow Monday,
September 9 at 7:00pm and running through October 21. Please contact the church
office to make a reservation. Study guides can be picked up at the rectory.

the month (Sept-May) in the former Immaculate Heart of Mary Convent Building, 1945 Portage Trail,
Cuyahoga Falls, OH. For more information call Marlene at (330-607-6284).

Pastor’s Formed Pick of the Week: “Miracles”

What are miracles? Are miracles possible and if so, how do we know? Do miracles happen
and if so, what is their purpose? What attitudes should we take toward reports of miracles? How
might miracles impact our prospects for future happiness? What are the perspectives of science,
theology, and philosophy on miracles today?
The exploration of miracles raises some of the most important spiritual, intellectual, and
personal questions that we face. An understanding of miracles is important for faith formation in
churches and in the home; for personal, spiritual, and intellectual growth; and for devotions, as well
as many courses in religious studies and the humanities in general today.
This inspiring film explores these questions from a Catholic perspective, informed by
historical and modern discussions in science, philosophy, and theology, as well as cases of particular
miracles, ancient and contemporary. It is filled with many beautiful images and stunning
photography.
Christ’s Peace!
Fr. David Majikas
