Career Week 2017 – 2018 (September 18 - 22, 2018)

OBJECTIVES:
 To help students discover their strengths and inclination
 To help students make informed decisions on career choices
 To get the students to think about their future

THEME: Ruizians Foster Change. Ignite. Renovate. Evolve.(Ruizians F.I.R.E.)

Day 1 – September 18 (Monday) – Launching of Career Week

 Mufti Day – on September 4 (Monday), students will be informed to dress up like


career professionals of their choice. This will be done from preschool to senior high
school to encourage career awareness.
 Come to school dressed as the career you want to be. Students can design a hat
required for the job, for example mine worker, chef, policeman/woman, firefighter,
etc. They may also make tools that are commonly used in that specific career.

Guidelines for dress code:


- Students are NOT REQUIRED to buy new clothes or costume on the said event.
They are encouraged to use available resources to come up with creative
costume.
- Girls:
Dress/skirt must be no shorter than the knee
No low-cut blouses, plunging neckline, spaghetti strap/sleeveless

On the first day of Career Week, students will be reminded to bring materials for this
activity. They will be asked to pick out pictures that would depict their chosen career of field.
These pictures will be used in making the collage.

Intermediate Level Activity – Poster – Making Contest

This activity will be done during their Arts class. All students will be participating in this
activity. Among all the works, 10 will be rendered by their Art teacher. The adviser shall then
choose the Top 2 works that would represent their section. The 14 entries will be judged in the
afternoon of September 21 (Thursday). Winners will be announced in the GS Auditorium after
the morning assembly.

Students are to be informed to conceptualize for this activity a week before their Art
class. Drafts are to be submitted to their subject teacher for signature before the actual day of
activity. This is to assure that they will accomplish the activity in one class period.

Chosen outputs will be displayed in the gallery at the GS waiting area starting
September 22 (Friday) until the week after.
