3) Software operating and setting

Run the exe files on PC.
Select the PC communication port (Fig.3.), default port COM1.
Select controller type (Fig.4.), described as below:
Non-circular loop 5Ei controller, select “JB-QB-5Ei””;
Circular loop FCP controller and multi-loop FCP4controller select “JB-QB-5EiX”.

2.Features
There are three functions to the controller programming software:
1) 【Location】(Device Location Description)
Write the device position description to the controller, or read device position description from the
controller.
Select【Location】from the software interface【Information Type】list (Fig.5.), enter “Position
Description” function.
Fig.5
Written to the device’s position description
User should fill in the programming software editing table good position description of the
equipment before write the position description to the controller. Each cell corresponds to an
actual device in editing table, table column represents the loop number, and line indicates the
device address.

Example: When the location of the device 2 of the circuit 1 description “Room 1”, user inputs as
Fig.6.

Note: The position description of each device input up to 20 characters.

Fig.6

When the user finished editing equipment position description information, click on the "Write"
button, and select the loop number from the popup dialog, then click on the “OK” button in the
dialog box (Fig.7.), the programming software will send the device position to the controller. In
this case, the controller’s LCD screen will turn display message during transmission and save:
"saving location information"
"saved location information"

Note:
1. Information transmission and preservation process will take some time, during this
period, the user not to carry out other operations.
2. Programming software can only write position description of one loop to the
controller.
3. Not filled character cell corresponding to the location of the device descriptions will
be cleared.
Fig.7

Read the device position description

When the user read the position description to the controller, clicks on the “Read” button, and
selects the loop number from the popup dialog, then click on the “OK” button in the dialog box. In
this case, the controller’s LCD screen will turn display message in the information retrieval
process:
"sending location information"
"sent location information"
After the reading is completed, the position description will be displayed in the edit form.

Note:
Programming software can only write position description of one loop to the controller.

Position description file save and load

The programming software can use the file to save location information in the current editing
table. Click the "Save" button, input the name of the save file in the pop-up dialog box, and then
click the "Save" button to save the file. (Fig.8)
When user need to load the contents of the file to edit tables, click on the "Load" button, selects
load the file name in the pop-up dialog box, and then click the "Open" button to load the file
dialog. (Fig.9)

2) 【Program】(Associated Operation Programming)
Linkage record is written to the controller or read the linkage record from the controller.
Select the 【Program】option (Fig.10) from the software interface 【Information Type】list, enter
“Linkage editing ” function.
Fig.10

Write linkage record

Before write the linkage record to the controller, user should fill in the programming software
editing table linkage record content. In the edit table, line represents each linkage record number,
and column indicates the elements of each linkage record. A linkage record contains the following
elements:
Logic: Linkage logical, valid value range for 1-3, 1 means “OR1”; 2 means “OR2”; 3 means
“AND”.
C1_Loop: Control conditions 1 loop number.
C1_No1: The initiation device number of the control condition 1.
C1_No2: The end device number of the control condition 1.
C2_Loop: Control conditions 2 loop number.
C2_No1: The initiation device number of the control condition 2.
C2_No2: The end device number of the control condition 2.
A_Loop: Control target loop number.
A_No1: The initiation device number of the control target.
A_No2: The end device number of the control target.
Detailed descriptions see the controller manual “Linkage Programming” section.
Such as, user needs to write to the controller following 2 linkage records:
“1-5 devices and 10-15 devices of loop 1 use “OR1” to logic control 215-220 devices of loop 1”
“6-8 devices and 18-22 devices of loop 1 use “AND” to logic control 230-235 devices of loop 1”

Linkage record content for user input in the edit form:

“1-1-1-5-1-10-15-1-215-220”;
“3-1-6-8-1-18-22-1-230-235”;
Show as Fig.11

Fig.11
When the user edit the complete linkage record, click on the "Write" button, input the linkage
record number to the pop-up dialog box (In this example, the linkage record number for 2), then
click “OK” button (Fig.12), the programming software will send the form linkage record to the
controller. The controller completes linkage record saving; information will be displayed on the
LCD screen:
"saved program information"

Note: The linkage record must be written in order, the middle can not be separated by
empty lines
Fig.12

Read linkage record

Users can read by clicking on the "Read" button controller linkage record, read linkage record will
be displayed in the edit form. In this case, the controller LCD shows the message in turn display in
the reading process:
"sending program information"
"sent program information"

Linkage record file save and load

Similarly, users can click on "Save" and "Load" button to save the log file and loaded linkage.

3) 【History record】
Read the history record from the controller
Select the 【History Record】option (Fig.13) from the software interface 【Information Type】list,
enter “History record” function.
Fig.13

Read history record

User can read the history record from controller by clicking “Read” button, read history record
will be displayed in the edit form. (Fig.14). In this case, the controller LCD shows the message in
turn display in the reading process:
"sending history record "
"sent history record "
In the edit table, line represents each history record number, and column indicates the elements of
each history record. One history record contains following 3 elements:
“Alarm Type”
“Device No”
“Alarm Time”
Wherein: "Device No" former two numbers mean the loop number of the device, the latter three
numbers mean the device address. For example, "01002" represents " the 2nd device of loop 1.
When the the history alarm type "event", different "Device No" said the different events, and
detailed description see controller manual “Device Address Allocation Table”.
Fig. 14

Linkage record file save and load

Similarly, user can save and load history record file by clicking “Save” and “Load” button.

4.Exit
Click “Test” button, the controller will exit the communication status.
