When we talk about symbiotic future, we talk about the future of man, future of our communities, future of our state, future of our ecosystem, and ultimately the future of our globe. A 5000-year history of mankind is replete with the stories from life in the caves when man used to depend on nature --- to the life in the modern world when man is doing harmful activities to destroy nature. Nature is supposed to be the mother of mankind. Doing any harm to nature tantamount to doing harm to mankind. In this context, the question that what is the symbiotic future becomes more relevant. In order to survive, ladies and gentlemen, dependence on each other is crucial. The early human being was dependent on nature as it was the only source of livelihood. Later he started cultivation, which led to industrialization, and now man is subservient to technology. In this historical context, one thing which is all pervasive is the future. Future is always the centerpiece of human existence. The relationship we have with each other not only galvanize us into action but also defines our very existence. Imagining a world where such an association did not exist is quite disturbing. Thus, it would not be wrong to say that correlation between humans is not only essential for their survival but also a necessity in the context of symbiotic relationship. Ladies and gentlemen, This correlation can be of different dimensions. One is the relationship between a person with another person. The second one describes the link between a person and the society. Lastly on a broader perspective comes the alliance between two or more states. Now a symbiotic future will only be effective if every person contributes towards the local, national, regional and global development agenda. The relationship between individuals plays a significant role in everyone’s life. People opt for different professions and livelihood sources. Every one facilitates others and, in return, gets facilitated. Similarly, states cannot survive in isolation. They share their development thoughts and tools with each other. They not only trade with each other, but also share their development strategies. This is something important that our ruling elite and establishments need to understand. The states which have hostility against each have become security states. Their security is under threat. Their survival is becoming more and more complex. Let me give the example of Pakistan and India – the long-time nuclear rivals. Millions of people are living below the poverty line and the victims of this hostility in both the countries. Similarly, the cold war between the United States and Soviet Union culminated at the breaking of the USSR and a severe economic recession in America. Ultimately, the sufferers were the local populations. The only way forward is the restoration of peace in the world for the strengthening of symbiotic future. Ladies and gentlemen, A symbiotic future is although difficult to achieve, it is not impossible. It requires human will and sacrifices by those one per cent people of this globe who possess 99 per cent wealth of the world. A greater revolution is the need of hour. The day we decide to change ourselves to make this world a better place, a symbiotic future will knock at our doors.
