*** Effective 9/18/14 we are processing 15-second spots for the radio system.***

Click here for list of 15-second stations being processed 1/18/19

Radio System -
All iHeart Media Radio stations will have spots that are 13-seconds and greater processed. Title 13-second
or great spots on All radio stations whether they are iHeart Media or not. If there are a pair of 15-second ads
back to back, split the spots and title those ads. Example: Our system generates a single 30-second ad, but in fact they
are two 15-second ads, SPLIT the two :15's and title these ads.

Spot content must be a minimum of :13 to title on Radio and TV discovery.

Minimum Split Duration is :09 for Radio and TV Media Sets- so if a suspect (:13 or greater) is attached to
anything that is :09 and greater, split off the extra (>:09) and title the original spot.

Exclude the phrases like "Brought to you by/Presented By/Driven By/Powered By/Sponsored By, etc. X
advertiser" from the duration content of a spot. Start the duration at the beginning of the spot. If X advertiser" is the
start of the spot exclude the given phrases above. If under :13 do not title the spot If :13 or greater title the spot.

**Note** In Verification of Radio or TV - If a spot is presented to the verifier in verification only (not Discovery
titling) that is close to the minimum length :10, :11, :12 (for radio and for TV) and has a Meta_audit that is cross
checking from the normal sized spot content of :15 or greater, verify as you would the normal size spot, DO NOT JUNK.

**Do not title Spots less than 25-seconds on Puerto Rico stations.
10/8/14

When you change a spot (from one title to another or to junk, music etc.) always change the meta-audit
also. This can be done by pressing "Ctrl R" on the analysis acid and following instructions. If there is no audio on a

particular acid within the meta, un-title the ones with no audio so that it does not continue to cross-check incorrectly
and title the ones with audio as the proper title.

It is a requirement that all multimode verification begin at the top of the list and work down. The reason is to maximize
the efficiency of the auto verifier and decrease the workload for the verifiers.

** All music including live performances on Radio and Mediabase/Video TV stations appearing in the Radio Media sets
should be classified as Untitled Programming for the Mediabase staff to title. Mediabase / Video TV will follow the call
letters; i.e., MTV - Mediabase.

The music suspects presented in the TV system should be sent to recurring junk as the music is not titled.
Revised 9/17/14

**Spelling/incorrect grammatical/typographical errors as well as market titles are different errors than the Dealer
Association being changed to make/model (or vice-versa) kind of errors. The former should count as errors against the
agent for Automotive & Motorcycles, Mtr Bikes, ATV Dealer Association classes, the latter should not.

Announcements

5/17/19 - The Media Monitors software is based on audio recognition. Title as the advertiser mentioned
in the audio. If there are exceptions for an advertiser within the Style Guide go by those rules. Do not
title using the video storyboards.

6/7/18 - Merges for titles that have 5000 or more acids should be sent to the DQ team.

9/18/14 - 15-Second processing has begun.

10/29/13 - Piggyback suspects - Two or more broadcast commercials aired one after the other,
featuring the same or different products of the same sponsor.

If the title is the same, do not split. If the titles are different, split.

10/10/13 - Please do not title pornographic internet ads. Scott has asked the team to junk these. Do not
click on the landing pages and do not research, as there are too many implications involved in this task,
company policies, personal issues, etc. that we do not want our staff subjected to. We still title Adult
Entertainment/Adult Entertainment Night Clubs class for radio and tv (which are the Adult or “strip” clubs
or products/stores) however for internet pornography ads, which are very explicit, graphic and could
download unwanted items to your work computers when clicking on the links, please send to junk.

8/23/13 - The meta_audit must be always checked and fixed while performing a change on a title in
verification (including Ctrl+S or cleanup), junk verification, and Verify the Verifier (You must change the
ACID within Verify the Verifier list and afterwards open a new editor to check to make sure the meta_audit
is corrected). This is a sure-fire way to prevent further incorrect CC'ing issues. If the meta_audit is not
easily fixable, or you notice spots, music or junk that should not be within the meta_audit please report
immediately to DQ.

8/6/13 - Network Radio Product (NRP) - Creative gets uploaded by the client, Cross-checker
matches it to Airplay creating a meta-audit containing ACIDs for stations and ACIDs for the uploaded
creative.

If a change is needed for ACIDs cross checked from the NRP, send to the merge group staff and copy the
DQ Group. Correcting the ACIDs without correcting the uploaded creative causes the reporting feature to
break.

3/21/11 - Station disclaimers are NOT to be titled. The disclaimers will say something similar to,
This station is not responsible for the contents of this program or content of the following announcement.

Listen and View to Hispanic example

Make sure to look at the station when titling each suspect. Do NOT assume all stations are US
stations. Take special care when titling suspects on the X-stations and WSUA-AM.
WSUA-AM in Miami is owned by Grupo Latino de Radio and is affiliated with Caracol Radio in Colombia and
W-Radio in Mexico. WSUA-AM airs a lot of Colombian government and business spots.
i.e. Account: Chevrolet Colombia
Parent: General Motors Colmotores SA

If you are going to be away from your desk greater than an hour exit the Verification tool.
7/2/15

Audio with interruptions, double audio and suspects without audio must be reported to your supervisor.
Do NOT junk.

8/1/08 - If a talk show runs an actual commercial for the purpose of discussing it (listen to the suspect)
the spot must be titled. Otherwise, it could be cross checked incorrectly if junked. The example below is
for a TV spot replayed on a radio talk show. The audio could be the same as a radio spot.

Listen to John McCain For President

Grounds for immediate dismissal:

The following Kia Sedona and TNT Network 60 second suspect was titled as Kia Sedona. Our software
forces the listener to listen to the end of each suspect prior to titling (Ctrl + End). In this case, the
listening was not done. Mistakes such as this one are grounds for immediate dismissal.
