Lectures and Tutorials
Every week there will be three lectures of one hour each. There will also be one tutorial of one hour. The aim of
the tutorials is to have a closer interaction with you in clearing your doubts, if any, and also to give you practise
in problem solving.

Policy for Attendance

Attendance in lectures and tutorials is compulsory. The attendance of the students will be closely
monitored.
In case you miss lectures/tutorials for valid (medical or other reasons), get a medical certificate from the Medical
Officer of the Institute. You can produce a xerox copy of it to the Instructor in case you fall short of the attendance.

Evaluation Plan
There will be two class tests each one of 15% weightage of one hour’s duration, one mid term of weightage 35%
and one end semester examination of weightage 35%. The date and the timings of the tests will be announced
subsequently in the class. The mid and end semester examinations will be held during the week as prescribed by
the Academic Calender.
