A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE HONORABLE MAYOR LUCILO R.
BAYRON TO REALLOCATE FUNDS FOR THE LIVELIHOOD PROGRAM OF THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF PUERTO PRINCESA FOR THE YEAR 2020 AND SUCCEEDING YEARS THEREAFTER

WHREAS, the Local Government Unit of Puerto Princesa used to have a
Livelihood Program focused on lending monetary funds without interest to farmers, fishermen, and other small scale businesses in order to lessen poverty in the City; WHEREAS, the City Government has allocated funds amounting to Five Million (Php. 5,000,000.00) for this specific Livelihood Program of City for Year 2016, 2017, and 2018; WHEREAS, unfortunately, the allotted budget was not actually utilized by the City Government for the aforementioned years and purposes; WHEREAS, because of non-utilization of this fund, the City Budget removed the budget for Livelihood Program for the Year 2019, instead, the Office has allotted the funds to another program for better use thereof; WHEREAS, many of Puerto Princesans are forced to borrow money from different lending company that provides high interests just to fund and maintain their humble businesses; WHEREAS, there is a necessity to allocate funds again for the Livelihood focused on lending funds without interest because of evident clamor among the people to have a government-initiated financing Program to fund their livelihood projects; BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby resolved, to pass a Resolution requesting the Honorable Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron to reallocate funds for the Livelihood Program of the City Government of Puerto Princesa for the Year 2020 and succeeding years thereafter; RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this Resolution be furnished to the City Mayor’s Office, City Budget Office, Local Economic and Investment Promotions Office, and City Information Office for their information.
