organized by Galgotias college of Engineering
& Technology for M.B.A in order to enhance
their practical stimulation and to let them
having an overview on the activities related to

Overview of the trip


Galgotias College of Engineering &
Technology had organized an industrial visit
on 27th Feb 2019 to Silico& chemico
Porecelain works, located in C-5, industrial
estate, G.T road khurja.

Details of the journey


We started travelling from the college campus
at 10:00 am via college bus on 27th Feb 2019
along with our faculties. We reached to the
Silico& chemico Porecelain works premise at
khurja in 1.5 hours.
Afterwards we met to the management
personal’s of the Silico& chemico Porecelain
works, then we visited 2 manufacturing units
of the industry and warehouses.

Company profile
The Silico & Chemico Porcelain Work has
provided quality, brand-name equipment and
supplies to laboratories across country. The
primary markets we service are biotech,
pharmaceutical, industrial, academic and
governmental laboratories. At Silico &

The term porcelain refers to a wide
range of ceramic products that have
been baked at high temperatures to
achieve vitreous, or glassy, qualities
such as translucence and low porosity
Although porcelain is frequently used
as a synonym for china, the two are not
identical.

The primary components of porcelain :-

 Feldspar or flint
 Silica

To create different types of porcelain,


craftspeople combine these raw
materials in varying proportions until
they obtain the desired properties.

Along with India Silico& chemico


Porecelain works export their products
around the globe in 45 countries
including Brazil, Germany, Indonesia,
Singapore, etc.

Approximately 70% of their produced


products were intended to sold outside
India. Silico& chemico Porecelain
works earns a handsome amount of
profit in exporting as compare to selling
in same locality. Country.

their products online as well as offline,
Group observation

 In Silico& chemico Porecelain


works we observed and explored
how the production of porecelain
products (pottery) take place.
 We explored 2 warehouses in
which first one is machine oriented
and another one is handcrafted
product centered.
 Silico& chemico Porecelain
works produces products in both
batch productions (identical
products) and job productions
(customized products).

Conclusion

works has a well built and ample
infrastructure encompass of latest
machines as well as highly
experienced, skilled and proficient
technocrats.
 The machine have capacity with
advance state of time & cost
productivity, empowering at
exceptionally aggressive costs.

Limitations
 Safety improvements should be
needed for employees security from
harmful chemicals and paints.
 Waste management of industrial
scrap can be treated more efficiently.
 Our findings generated in the
observation of very lesser amount of
time hence our conclusion is limited
to that extent only.
