Task
 What are my goals ?
 Short term and long term goals
 My action plan to achieve them

Abstract
In this task, I am going to define my goals. Short and
long term goals will be differentiated. The complete action plan
based on current status and strategies after this which are going
to be adapted will be defined. The goals which will be described
here will be related to materialistic world and based on socio-
ethical norms.

Possible Outcomes
This task can be a catalyst for a
successful life. The reason which justify the above statement is
that if we become able to fix or set a goal, it means we are going
to control charge of our own life. A person who knows his/her
destination is more likely to reach there than a person who is
unaware about destination. Concluding above, a goal is necessary
for meaningful life.
 Goal Statement
“A progressive writer who writes to highlight social problems
and present a suitable solution”

Long Term Goals

1. Writing skill; this is a key element for my life goal
2. Knowledge; knowledge is a sea but I have to gain sufficient
knowledge about socio-economic structure of society,
human behavior, philosophy, religion, science , art and
literature, politics and law
3. English language; the good command on English can help me
reach on maximum audience
4. Publication contacts; well reputed publisher can lead to
success of my content
5. Humanitarian work; “life is what we give,” so by becoming a
influential person of society will lead society towards
prosperity and betterment

Short Term Goals

1. University tasks would be done on time with good effort
2. Purchase new books; novels, science, philosophy, religion
etc.
3. I will make a schedule for my studies
4. A daily task list will be made from now
5. Improve English grammar
6. Maintain health
7. I will make notes of all courses
 Action Plan
Degree/Major
The university major subject or degree shapes future
career. I am lucky enough to have maturity at such initial stage, so I was
able to select a major related to my goal. BS English is not a imposed
field for me but I elected that field keeping my goal in my mind. I will
study literature and linguistic in this field and they both going to help
tremendously in my writing career.

University Class
I am a common seeker of knowledge. In university
class, I active all my senses eagerly to learn something new. Class
participation is also my first priority, I try my best to participate in class
in a polite and logical way. For learning skepticism is my one of favorite
and adapted strategy.

Daily Work
The routine tasks of university are done in their
respective routine. Procrastination is avoided in every task.

Notes
I am making notes of all major courses. I note almost all
important points during lecture. After points are noted I look at
suggested books or lecture slides. At the end by giving those points
proper notes form I write down them on my note book.

Exams
I am not grade obsessed student. I believe on concept and
creative learning. That’s why concept understanding is my first strategy
during exam. At the same time I never neglect grades so I also look for
the important things which helps me in securing good grades.

Conclusion Of Above Actions

These are simple action taken by me to secure my BS
English degree. No doubt, BS English is one of core element of my life
goal. It will enhance my mind approach by giving an opportunity to read
great writers of English literature.

Knowledge
The educational degree related to any career is not
sufficient for having a good career in that field. Knowledge is the only
tool which can lead one to acquire good and stable position in career.
Right now, I am studying below mentioned subjects.
1. Philosophy; to understand the early ideas of great men about
universe is interesting thing. Philosophy also helps in thinking
critically and skepticism which are foundation of knowledge. I am
learning this subject by well reputed Dr. Taimur Rehman through
distance learning.
2. Religion; since creation of the universe humans have desire to
know creator for this cause religion has worked tremendously to
build contact of creature and creator. Now a days, I am listening
comparative religion scholar Dr. Zakir Naik and also reading Holy
Quran by myself with meaning to understand true essence of
word of God.
3. Science; there will be no contradiction if we say that the
comfortable life we are living today is because of science. To
understand and build a logical inference about things around us
scientific is the only subject which could answer. I am
understanding science specially Physics and Math from famous
Pakistani scientist Dr. Parvez Hoodhboy
4. Literature; how it can be possible a persons wants to become a
writer but he does not read. Reading book is my favorite hobby.
Recently, I have finished the novel of Charles Dickens The Great
Expectation.
5. Current affair and politics; we can not escape from being part of
this society. A responsible person should know about the
happenings around him/her about ruling government and social
problems. I listen news and read Pakistan’s famous newspaper
Dawn to have a information about current scenario of Pakistan.

Social Work
It is easy to talk about poor sitting in air conditioned
rooms. I am a member of organization which works for the rights
of labors. We stand together with them in their protest and raise
voice for them as possible as we can.
Humanitarian Work
This is also a kind of social work I am engaged in. I
have recently joined by Pakistan Sweet Home as volunteer. This
organization work for orphans. I will do my best to help little
orphans adapted by this organization. The reason I am engaged in
this kind of activity is to understand the ground realities of
society and to create a humanitarian element in my own
personality.

Conclusion
The above stated current status has only one direction
that is a progressive writer. Despite all this, I am also looking for
other necessary dimensions on which I have to work to achieve
my life goal.
