Deliverables:
(ii) Engineering working drawing prepared using computer aided drafting program e.g. AutoCAD and
SolidWorks.
As compared to existing solutions, the novel soft actuator will feature: improved torque-to weight and
power-to-weight ratios, improved efficiency and reliability; reduced cost. System development will
comprise: conception of new actuator architectures, detailed actuator design with CAD/CAE tools,
realization of an actuator prototype along with its product with 3 permanent researchers of the LIRMM
(Vincent Creuze, Daniel Simon, Frédéric Comby). This project will also be carried out in collaboration
with the I3S in Sophia Antipolis prepared using any relevant modeling computer software like CATIA,
SolidWorks.
(v) Carry out FEA of your design in ANdevelopment of a novel soft actuator for collaborative robots
with high payloads (namely with payload in the range of 7-14 kg and arm reach in the range of 1000-1300
mm). As compared to existing solutions, the novel soft actuator will feature: improved torque-to weight
and power-to-weight ratios, improved efficiency and reliability; reduced cost. System development will
comprise: conception of new actuator architectures, detailed actuator design with CAD/CAE toolsSYS.
