Christianity is an Abrahamic monotheistic religious group based on the life and teachings
of Jesus of Nazareth, also known by Christians as the Christ. It is the world’s largest
religion, with over 2.4 billion followers or 33% of the global population. It’s adherents
believe that Jesus is the Son of God. Christianity and its ethics have played a prominent
role in shaping of Western civilization.

A Christian (/ˈkrɪstʃən, -tiən/ ( listen)) is a person who follows or adheres to Christianity,


an Abrahamic, monotheistic religionbased on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.
"Christian" derives from the Koine Greek word Christós (Χριστός), a translation of
the Biblical Hebrew term mashiach. While there are diverse interpretations of
Christianity which sometimes conflict, they are united in believing that Jesus has a
unique significance.The term "Christian" is also used as an adjective to describe anything
associated with Christianity, or in a proverbial sense "all that is noble, and good, and
Christ-like.

Christians has been a major source of social services like schooling and medical care;
inspiration for art, culture and philosophy; and influential player in politics and religion.
In various ways it has sought to affect Western attitudes to vice and virtue in diverse
fields. Festivals like Easter and Christmas are marked as public holidays; the Gregorian
Calendar has been adopted internationally as the civil calendar; and the calendar itself is
measured from the date of Jesus's birth.
ANALYSIS

 In paragraph number 1, the technique used was Description. Description because the
statement is about something that enables or telling about the ‘Christianity”. It is
describing about Christianity all about Christianity in paragraph number 1.

 In paragraph number 2, the technique used was Etymology. Etymology because the it
tells about the origin of christians and the way in which their meanings have changed
throughout history by the words. It tells about where Christians came from and the
history about Christians.

 In paragraph number 3, the technique used was Functions. Functions because when you
read the paragraph no 3, you will notice that it is telling the purpose or the role of the
Christians in our civilizations, it’s telling the functions of Christians.
