Title : RF Based Data Encryption and Decryption for Military Applications

•Description  :  Security  in  computer  world  determines  the  ability  of  the  system  to  manage,  protect  and 
distribute sensitive information. The project aims at providing secure information transfer from one end to 
other. It uses encoding and decoding techniques at the transmitter and receiver. A key is used to alter the 
source information at the source end and the similar authorized key at the destination is used to retrieve 
the information back.

In  online  transaction  processing,  latest  information  must  be  kept  in  the  database  at  practically  all 
time. The transactions have to update the database as soon as they occur. Main problem with online 
transaction processing is concurrence of Transaction. The problems related to this occur because of 
multi­tasking/multi­user. When two or more transactions try to access or modify the database at same 
time then the database gets corrupted.
Objective: Our main objective of this project is to protect the data from corruption.
Solution: To overcome this problem I have use two different locking techniques,
1. Data locking using lockf  function call and
2. Text locking using semaphores and flock function.

For inter­processes communication (IPC) between server and clients, I have used 4 different methods 
of IPC.
1. FIFO (named pipe),
2. Message queue,
3. Shared memory,
4. Socket.
