The Book Of John John 4:12-15

for educators
Are you greater than our father Jacob? He gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did his
sons and his livestock. Jesus said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again,
but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will
give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” The woman said to Him,
“Sir, give me this water, so that I will not be thirsty or have to come here to draw water.”

There’s a Word for that! Confess

Confession and prayer gives us power, dear friends. Confess your sins quickly and then pray
5

immediately for there is great power in the prayers of God’s people.

James 5:16– Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be
healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Forgive us Lord, for pride. Forgive us when we
don’t come to you quickly to confess our sins.
Why do we wait? You are so gracious. Help us
Y

Lord to confess our sins to each other and then

pray for those we may have offended or for those
who have offended us. Healing takes place in our
true confession through the Holy Spirit. Thank
you dear Lord for the prayers of your people.
There’s power in the prayers of Your people as
A

they are working. Help us Lord to be prayerfully

dependent upon You in all things. We ask this in
the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.

Meditation for the month

D

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on
its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the
truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Prayer, posture and Practicalities

1:16 PM prayer prompt – Please pray for any students who are hungry.

Praying Scripture– One of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves is to learn to pray Scripture.
#iamachristianeducator

We are learning to not just say the Word, but to pray the Word. Give it a try with some of the
verses we are using this school year at www.tinyurl.com/TAWFT.
