My favourite teacher was Mrs. Artanti who taught me English for 2 years. She had sparkling eyes and
blond hair. She was taller than me. She always gave her smile to us (my friend and I) as we saw each other
in the hallway at school. She seemed very strict when the first time I met her. However, we had a lot of fun
during her class as we had been told some jokes in English. Her skills at teaching was great, and she always
added some of humorous story in her teachings. She was so friendly, and patient as well.

I had had her class when I was in grade 10. I got good marks on it since then. She gave us a lot of
assignments which were important for us in improving our English ability. She is very patient and
enthusiastic in teaching us, moreover, she would stay at school after school hour to solve our problems and
encourage us learning some other lessons.
Artanti liked having Chinese and Japanese food. She was fond of pop music and sang nice songs, too.
She always encouraged us to join voluntary work after school hour or at weekend, such as; cleaning
houses for seniors who lived by themselves; selling stickers for charity; leading blind people walking in the
street regularly; and, planting some plants to keep environment green. In my opinion, she was a helpful
person.

B. By taking them to outdoor lesson projects

On New Year's Eve 2016, our big family celebrated New Year's Eve together. We held a big
dinner in my house. Before the celebration, we prepared the ingredients of the food, fireworks, trumpets,
and sound systems.
The weather was not so bright. Drizzling rain which flushed the earth since the morning did not
want to stop. But it did not dampen our spirits. My cousin and I went to the market to buy fireworks. We
bought quite a lot of fireworks on that day to brighten our big event. After getting fireworks, we helped
my father and uncle to prepare karaoke appliances and sound systems at home, while my mother and aunt
prepared chicken and its seasoning to roast tonight.
Precisely at 18.00 everything we need was ready. We were just waiting for 22.00 o'clock. We
deliberately postponed the dinner so that we could enjoy the food we made later. While we were waiting,
my big family and I made some jokes and laughed together in the living room. We also did karaoke
together; each of us had to sing a song. My uncle who was good at singing did not want to miss to entertain
us. At 22:00 we started to prepare the food. My father, uncle, cousin and I prepared the chicken to be
grilled, while my mother, aunt and sister prepared rice, side dishes and drinks. After the chicken was
cooked, we had our meal on 23.30. We were so happy.
At 23:50, we were ready to light the fireworks. Precisely at 24.00 o'clock, we immediately set off

where the best fish were. The young fisherman was a good husband. He worked hard and soon

One evening the mermaid said to the fisherman. "If you are ever lost at sea, I shall ask the
gods to turn me into a bird. Then I shall fly all over the earth to look for you."
One day a terrible storm came to the sea near the island while he was out in his boat. The

If you happen to lift a telescope to the sky at dusk, train it on the moon. The magnification of the moon
will reveal craters and other irregularities on its surface.
The irregularities are the result of external menaces-comets, meteorites and stray asteroids which can
be found in abundance in space. Occasionally, the moon may across the path of these celestial wanderers-and
there will be collisions. Most of the time, these unwelcomed travelers are smaller than the moon and will be
consumed in the heat generated.
Traces of such fateful meetings will be recorded as the irregularities we have become so familiar with.
Such collisions are, however, not frequent on earth. This partly due to the fact all these space debris that
wander close to our planet will be burnt up even before they reach the surface of earth.
37. Most of the time, these unwelcomed travelers are smaller than the moon and will be consumed in the
heat generated. What does this explain about?

The tiger (Panthera tigris) is the largest cat species, reaching a total body length of up to
3.38 m (11.1 ft) over curves and exceptionally weighing up to 388.7 kg (857 lbs) in the wild. Its
most recognizable feature is a pattern of dark vertical stripes on reddish-orange fur with a lighter
underside. The species is classified in the genus Panthera with the lion, leopard, jaguar and snow
leopard. Tigers are apex predators, primarily preying on deer and bovines. They are territorial and
generally solitary but social animals, often requiring large contiguous areas of habitat that support
their prey requirements. This, coupled with the fact that they are indigenous to some of the more
densely populated places on Earth, has caused significant conflicts with humans.
Tigers once ranged widely across Asia, from Turkey in the west to the eastern coast of
Russia. Over the past 100 years, they have lost 93% of their historic range, and have been spread
from southwest and central Asia, from the islands of Java and Bali, and from large areas of
Southeast and Eastern Asia.
I was so happy to hear that we were going to the Singapore Flyer as it was my first time to
go there.
When we reached the Singapore Flyer, I felt scared to see that it was gigantic. But, I decided
to give a try after my friends encouraged me. We boarded the flyer and waited for a while before it
reached the top. Once it reached the top, the scenery was so fantastic. My friend Laila shouted loudly,
"Wow! What a nice scenery!"Unlike Laila, my friend Budi seemed to be shivering. He said, "I am
afraid to fall down." We smiled at him. "You are safe here, buddy", said Tom.
By the time we got down, my stomach was already growling. My buddies brought us to
Popeye's restaurant and the food there was yummy. After lunch, we had ice-cream and chatted with
my buddies. At last our bus arrived and we headed for Marina Barrage at 4 p.m. to play in the water.
