Farmers Market Report raffle will be drawn of Sunday 13th October at the Fund-
raiser Day at Brighton Bowling Club.
Our Farmers Market weather hoodoo has been well and
truly broken! After a trouble-free setup in our traditional Towards the end of the market a lost child was reported to

seemed to be quite a few new faces among the regulars
and a lot of children. The live music added to the relaxed, Mark Perelaer
friendly atmosphere. The Animal Petting Farm returned
this month and was a hit with the very young. A good
number of our 2019/20 Farmer Market Calendars were
handed out as patrons headed home, suggesting that
some were already thinking of a future visit.
There were 53 stall holders in total with a few new ones
among them. It's refreshing to see new things being tried.
Of the stall holders I managed to speak to towards the end
of the market, all (including the newcomers) were happy
with the outcome for the day.

kept very busy. We had to buy more bacon mid-morning
and ran out of rolls at 11:30. We were down to our last
half-loaf of bread when I looked at midday. I noted
queues at our BBQ stall and the nearby coffee stall sever-
al times during the morning and our tables and chairs
were very well utilised.
The Brighton Bowling Club raffle to raise funds for the
Food for Change project was reportedly successful. The

Recognising Success
Often Rotary does not get recognised for the work they do in the local and international community.
3 members of Doncaster Rotary helped establish East Timor Roofing 20 years ago and still remain on the Board. For-
mer President and PM of Timor Leste Xanana Gusmao said it was the most successful NGO project in the country's
short history.
