Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is the moral responsibility of a business

organization towards its stakeholder groups which are affected directly or indirectly
by the company's operations (Nursahid, 2006). The World Business Council for
Sustainable Development defines Corporate Social Responsibility as a continuing
commitment of businesses to behave ethically and contribute to economic
development while improving the quality of life of the workforce and their families
and the local community and society as a whole (Iriantara, 2004, p.49). "Corporate
Social Responsibility is the company's commitment to improve community welfare
through good business practices and contribute part of company resources" (Kotler &
Nancy, 2005, p.4).

The company has an obligation to carry out social responsibility towards the
community around the company and the community in general. moral obligations and
regulatory obligations that require companies to carry out social responsibility, there
are several regulations governing CSR in Indonesia, namely:

- Undang-Undang Nomor 40 Tahun 2007 tentang Perseroan Terbatas.

- Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 47 Tahun 2012 tentang Tanggung Jawab Sosial
dan Lingkungan Perseroan Terbatas.
- Undang-Undang Nomor 25 Tahun 2007 tentang Penanaman Modal.
- Undang-Undang Nomor 22 Tahun 2001 tentang Minyak dan Gas Bumi.
- Undang-Undang Nomor 4 Tahun 2009 tentang Pertambangan Mineral dan
Batubara.
- Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 23 Tahun 2010 tentang Pelaksanaan Kegiatan
Usaha Pertambangan Mineral dan Batubara.
In government regulation, the Indonesian government emphasizes the
company that deals with natural resources to carry out social and environmental
responsibilities, in my opinion, companies that are emphasized by the government do
have a moral obligation also to carry out social responsibility because these companies
exploit existing resources on earth, the exploitation of these natural resources affects
the surrounding environment and the continuity of life on this earth, therefore
companies also must pay attention to environmental impacts when they open for
exploitation, before and after exploitation the company must pay attention to it, so
with the regulation, companies must take social responsibility, "like it or not".

Then in terms of moral obligations, companies that exploit natural resources

have a very high moral obligation because they influence various aspects of the
environment when the company does not carry out social responsibility, in my opinion
it is unethical because it is not responsible for the behavior that has been made, it can
also be said an occupation or rape of our earth. then according to the understanding
in the first paragraph, the company also has a moral obligation to improve the welfare
of the community within the company (employees) and outside the company
(society). The company is obliged to improve the welfare of the community, especially
the people around the factory, in my opinion, to establish good relations with the
surrounding community so that it is expected that there will be no conflict between
the company and the community.

Then, according to Ms Lala, companies are also responsible for increasing the
sensitivity of the community towards these companies, in addition, to add to their
international reputation as well, as Ms Lala said "when Biofarma's reputation is good
in social responsibility, Biofarma is a supplier from bill gates foundation ". this makes
important responsibility a social soul as well as a business soul.
