Profile of the Subject
Name: Justine Marco A. Teñoso
Age: 8
Gender: Male

Background of the Subject

Justine “Marco” belongs to a family of five members. He is second in the three

siblings and now in his 3rd grade in the elementary level. Both of his parents has stable income
and his family lives in a decent neighborhood.

Definition of terms
Aggression
- Behavior that is intended to harm another individual who does not wish to be harmed (Baron
& Richardson, 1994).

Prejudice

- an unjustified or incorrect attitude (usually negative) towards an individual based

solely on the individual’s membership of a social group.

Gathering of Data and Presentation of the problem

The researcher of the study is a cousin of Justine Marco A. Teñoso. Being close to
the parents of the subject, the researcher scheduled a three separate observation on Justine
Marco regarding his behavior on children specifically those who are younger and smaller than
him. The first day was directed to the behavior of Justine towards his younger brother. The next
two days of observation was on his fellow children in his neighborhood.
On the first day observation, the researcher came to the subject’s house. Being
accustomed and familiar to the family of the subject and Justine himself, the researcher is
guaranteed that the subject would not alter his behavior while the researcher is observing. On
the observation of the researcher, Justine Marco, after going to the school, came to play nicely
to his younger brother. When the two brothers had a petty quarrel, the subject became angry
and shoved his younger brother hard. Their eldest brother came to stop them and lectured them.
Both of the two younger brother followed and apologized to each other.

The second and the third day of observation was set on weekends for the
researcher to observe the subject’s interaction to his playmates and other children on his
neighborhood.

On the second day of observation, Justine Marco was playing with a friend same
of his age and about the same of his body size. When they were playing they accidentally bumped
in to a kid who was playing with his own toys. The other kid asked Justine and his friend if they
wanted to play with him. The subject’s response was rudely tossing the other kid’s toy and then
left scowling.

The next weekend, as Justine was roaming in the street to play, the other kid the
previous weekend was in the street as well. Justine just walked past the other kid without
recognizing him. When the researcher asked whether Justine Marco knows the other kid and if
he was the same age as him, the subject answered yes in both questions. When asked if why he
did that action to the other kid last weekend was because they had a petty fight or
misunderstanding, he said that he just don’t like the kid, that the kid was looking weak and not
cool.

On the three separate days of observation, the researcher had observe positive
and negative behavior of the subject. The negative indication of the observation was that Justine
has aggression and prejudice towards children who is younger and children who looks weak and
lame. The positive indication was on the part of Justine recognizing and following orders from
those who are older than him.
Recommendation

The researcher recommends that in order to improve Justine Marco’s behavior

towards other children is to let Justine interact with other children in his neighborhood besides
his existing friends and there must be guidance and assistance of a parent or an person older
than Justine (regarding to Justine’s older brother) whenever the subject are playing is playing
with his friends.

Conclusion
Justine Marco A. Teñoso was observed that has prejudiced and aggressive
behavior towards other children and it is recommended to him to interact with other children
have guidance of his parents or someone older when he plays.
