Vision for the Cyprus,

Tourism Aims and Objectives

the identified key element in aims and objective of tourism in Cyprus. Aims and objective could

be defined by the key role player in order to achieve their goals and objective associated with the

growth in the tourism in Cyprus, as it has been stated earlier that tourism is consider the main

revenue generation in the economy of Cyprus, hence following are the major aims and objective

of tourism development plan (Tse, 2008).

and updated products to tourists.

 The establishment of the inspect and monitor the standards of all operating activities in

tourism sectors.

 Make, organize and conduct training programs which would facilitate the human

development in the sector of tourism.

What primary and secondary research was undertaken prior to the completion of these

aims and objective

In order to conduct the primary research to examine the tourism development of Cyprus.

Qualitative research approach has been used, through the primary research we may get the

responses from the respondents on the defined constructs in aims and objective. Data has

collected through different mediums which involves,

 by conducted Interviews,

 by spreading questionnaires and,

 Through emailers.
All above tools has been used in the gathering of data by following the random sampling

techniques.

Cyprus is the 3rd largest Island in the world in terms of tourism and leisure. Tourism activities are

the becoming popular in the world because people feel relax while getting out for tourism people

select their tourism destination by their own. By measuring such elements we may able to

examine the point of view of tourism in selecting their destinations for tourism. The economy of

Cyprus decreased due to the less visitors have visited Cyprus because major part of economy

contributed by Cyprus tourism department (Clerides, 2006).

Plan to Subject Public consultant

The development of tourism includes the perception and diversity of stakeholders which usually

found more conflicting. For successful implementation of tourism in Cyprus involve the

stakeholder’s diversifications for critical success. The sustainability in the tourism brings the

relevant issue which is being affected by the political and social values. The planning for

effective tourism may include the significant public participation which has been nominated by

the universal approach for accomplishing the sustainable tourism development. The effective

planning for tourism may bring the maximum profit out of available resources and minimizes the

issues related to social, economic, environmental and political.

Tourism development plan is been the broader concept and extensive series of issues including

environmental, social, economic and political. In order to examine the significance, and subject

to public consultant the tourism development needs to upgrade according to the change in

technologies and environment. It has become compulsory for the tourism department to give

information to their audience about the significance of the tourism for this,
 Different seminars and open session has been conducted where it discussed about the

changing trends in tourism industry and how tourism is changing in this era.

 The appropriate tourism planning development is required only to ensure that the tourism

development may bring the positive attitude towards the economic growth for Cyprus

(González, 2007).

Product Price and Promotion

The product for tourism comprises of various elements which is the complete package shaped on

the basis of the customers’ needs and requirements. Tourism product is the combination of

multiple objects which includes, there is a need for the promotion of destination attraction, so it

may attract the maximum tourists around the globe, it must provide the better Transportation so

they get the luxury services, and Entertainment should be enhanced, Accommodations.

Tourism Products includes,

 Hotel Accommodations

 Transportations

 Recreational activities

 Historical Sites

The above variables are the products of tourism industry which they make for their consumers.

To attract large amount of customers there product must be competitive and fulfil the

requirement of the consumers. The most important and concerning element in tourism industry

is to set the prices of the services and how these products being positioned.
By setting price is the key for every industry every industry follow the pricing strategy in order

to set their price of their products. Price set on the basis of different dimensions whether a

consumer purchase our products or what our competitors are offerings. Product promotion

should also important for every industry, it should provide the good plan for market and promote

their offerings by adopting the different promotional techniques (Wicks, 2009). Some of the

tourism pricing strategy made up on the basis of following variables,

 Seasonal Pricing Strategies set on the basis of tourism season.

 Rack rate which refers the tourism at the full rate, there is no discount would be applied.

 Last minute pricing setting on the basis of common methods for accommodating

suppliers to fill the gap which was available in inventory at the last minute.

By setting such type of pricing and tourism strategy that could be the major key player in

attracting the tourism in Cyprus, tourist get to know about the tourism offering through agents

and other tourist who had been there before.

What human resource issues have been identified in the plan? How does TDP (tourism

development plan) propose to address these?

The era is known as the era of globalization, where market has become competitive for every

nature of business. Human resources would have been the major contributed element in every

industry, to maintain the standards and increase the credibility of the tourism industry we must

need to upgrade our human resources, as they should have to be updated and well trained.

 Human resources included the staff which require for the hotel and other associated

activities for tourism and who are well skilled and trained enough to serve in an

appropriate way.
 Human resource could be affected by various factors, which includes, External Factors

and Internal Factors (Bramwell, 2001).

 External factors includes,

 Change in technologies,

 Industry characterization,

 Legislations,

 Competitors actions,

 Globalization.

 Above are the major external factors which affect the human resource identified

by the TDP.

 Some of the internal factors are as follows,

 Size of the organization,

 Structure if the organization ,

 Business Strategies,

 Organizational Management,

 Practices of Human Resource Management and

 Professional Influence onto the practices of Human Resource Management

In this era of globalization the liberalization bring the tremendous development in the service

sector which has transformed the world around us. The tourism industry of Cyprus state the

advancement which bring the tourism industry to very important stage where the practices of

human resource management and their development being the major factor for offering their

services (Budeanu, 2005).

How will be the plan be financed? What money did they need? And where it come from?

As it has been mentioned earlier that, Cyprus tourism department considered the half of federal

government, half of the Cyprus revenues come from the tourism industry. So to enhance the

funds tourism must be promoted and it should be advertise. The financial plan should be

considered as the most important phase while in achieving the organizational growth and

objective. Therefore, financial plan is so important for tourism organization of Cyprus in meeting

their required set of objectives. The major objective to finalize the financial plan is to finance

growth through cash flows and equity. Therefore, the financial would anticipate to have the

following items, Cash flows should be the prime priority, followed by growth and then profit,

Realistic forecast and consecutive cash flows and financial management.

Some of the important assumptions related to the financial plan which based onto the following

assumptions which has been considered the most important for assumptions in finalizing the

financial plan, a strong economy, without recession, No unforeseen changes in the policy of

Cyprus economy in order to make sure their immediate services

Who will be responsible for implementing the plan? Is there a separate implementation

manual?

The Cyprus tourism organization is consider the semi government organization of the Cyprus.

Which is authorized for managing and controlling the tourism industry practices and play their

role in promoting the Islands as the destinations for tourism. Cyprus tourism organization only

authorized in implementing the plan for promotion of tourism in Cyprus. In 2014-15 Cyprus has

invested 28Million Euro’s in the promotion of the tourism in Cyprus (Castellani, 2007). This

strategy is plan for 2 years in order to implement the new variables in tourism to make them

unique from the other countries.

Cyprus tourism organization working independently and promoting the tourism and generating

the revenues which contribute in half of the Cyprus economy therefore Cyprus tourism

organization got the status for running the organization independently. Cyprus has ranked 29th in

the world economic tourism industry in all over the world, but in infrastructure Cyprus has

considered the number spot for tourism by having the best beaches available and attract the

tourist towards them.

How will the plan be monitored and evaluated?

A business with high service quality will meet customer needs at the same time as remaining

economically competitive. Improved service quality may increase economic competitiveness. A

business with high administration quality will address client issues whilst remaining financially

aggressive. Enhanced administration quality may increment financial intensity. This point may

be accomplished by understanding and enhancing operational courses of action, distinguishing

issues rapidly and deliberately, securing legitimate and solid administration execution measures

and measuring consumer loyalty and other execution results. Service quality in tourism industry

in Cyprus should be focused on the following points which are given as the expectations of

Tourists, Service standards provided to the tourists, Standards of the tourists.

Increasing number of tourism in last year shows that the Cyprus tourism is developing and

providing quality of their services and hence it has been proving the aims and objective of the

organization of Cyprus tourism that it has increasing the number of tourism and generating more

revenues than the last year.

What is the timescale of completion?

Planning process for tourism in Cyprus should be based on latest trends in the market. Which is

based on coming 2 decades which comprises on different activities which is periodically be

implemented. Cyprus tourism development is working on different parameters of promoting the

tourism which is going to achieve in the coming years. Cyprus tourism working on the Eco

tourism strategy which would be implemented now and would work for many coming years.

They are also working to reinstate the cultural tourism in Cyprus for providing more flavor in

tourism.

Tourism is the service providing organization. Service provider needs to provide services

according to the need of tourist. Cyprus is the fastest growing tourist country consider in this

world. Timescale of adoption of new trends in tourism industry should be updated in every year.

In recent time due to the invention of new technologies tourism industry is getting more tough

and competent. So it should be updated every year in order to provide good services to their

tourist in order to gain more tourist every year, more tourist more profit (Jurincic, 2005).

Conclusion

Tourism sector has been rapidly growing and becoming the most attractive spot for tourism, the

development of tourism industry in Cyprus making huge revenue generation which contributing

a lot in the economy of the Cyprus. The country is getting the great revenues and their cost for

service providing is also getting higher (Organisation, 2007).
