You see tendrils of fog grasping at your window at night. You hear a distant cackle.

You spy
restless shadows out of the corner of your eye. It can only mean one thing… HAPPY LIARS
NIGHT, ADVENTURERS! Throughout October 2018, the Adventurers League is celebrating a
spooky fall festival filled with chilling encounters and thrilling rewards.

For every hour of Adventurers League play October 1-31, 2018, as a player or a Dungeon
Master, you earn 1 candy corn. You can also earn candy corn via other Liars Night activities
announced throughout the month, so keep an eye on www.dndadventurersleague.org. Candy
corn is tied to you—the player—and any rewards earned with candy corn are individually
assigned to your characters.

Beginning the second week of October, keep a watchful eye for wandering monsters with
Liars Night flair, posted on our website. DMs can insert these beasts into any adventure. They
do not award additional checkpoints, but once defeated, they explode in a hail of candy corn.

reward yourself 5 candy corn. Your picture
might be displayed on the Adventurers League
website or social media pages.

Some call him the Candy King, others call him the
Sugar Fiend, but most know him as The Kernel.
Hidden in the darkest alley, behind an innocent
pile of forgotten refuse, atop a hoard of Liars
Night sweets, you will find a cranium rat
impossible to mistake for anyone but the Kernel.
The Kernel will trade your candy corn in exchange
for his Liars Night loot.

This fearsome carved jack-o-lantern fits over your head. It makes
your eyes glow yellow while you wear it.

Pipe of Smoke Monsters (Liars Night 2018 Edition)
Wondrous item, common
While smoking this pipe, you can use an action to exhale a puff of

smoke that takes the form of a single creature. The creature must
be one of the Wandering Monsters you defeated this holiday. The
form must be small enough to fit in a 1-foot-cube and loses its
shape after a few seconds, becoming an ordinary puff of smoke.

This reward is an UNLOCK, which costs 8 TCP of Tier 1 or higher:

Ghost Sheet
Wondrous item, uncommon
24 This sheet appears to be plain white cotton cloth with two
eyeholes cut into it. When you wear the sheet over your head, you
appear to be incorporeal. Physical interaction reveals this to be an
illusion.

Disposable Witch’s Broom

Wondrous item, common
This cheaply made wooden broom acts as a broom of flying,

except its command word activates this broom only once and for
up to 10 minutes. Afterward, the broom loses all magical
properties, and the bristles start to fall off.

Bag of Tricks or Treats
Wondrous item, uncommon
This ordinary bag, made from orange and black striped cloth,
48 appears empty. Reaching inside the bag, however, reveals the
presence of crinkly wrapped candies. The bag otherwise acts as a
gray bag of tricks except the following numbers on the d8 table
are replaced and summon creatures hostile toward you:
5: Dretch / 6: Quasit / 7: Imp / 8: Hell Hound

Marzipan the Skeletal Warhorse

Mount
This mount is all bloodstained bone speckled with sundried bits of
flesh. The Kernel can neither confirm nor deny this horse is linked
60 to the recent graverobbery of Lord Hultmark’s beloved warhorse
Marzipan. Marzipan is a warhorse with immunity to poison
damage and the exhaustion and poisoned conditions; she is
vulnerable to bludgeoning damage. If killed, Marzipan can be
summoned via find steed, find greater steed, or animate dead.
