APPLICATIONS
Cofraplus 60 is an open rib trapezoidal and nestable composite Cofraplus 60 is specially designed for structures with moderate
floor deck used for the construction of concrete slabs. live loads and medium spans.
Cofraplus 60 avoids removal of formwork, reduces the dead Flooring over crawlspaces must be accessible and ventilated.
weight of the floor and saves one layer of steel reinforcement.
DEFINITIONS / STANDARDS
Steel specification Versions
• Standard NF EN 10326 : “steel bands and sheets for construction Three versions are available :
with hot-dip coating”. • The standard version is called COFRAPLUS 60.
• Standard XP P 34-301 : “steel bands and sheets for construction,
galvanised pre-painted or coated with an organic calendereed
construction industry grade film”.
• Standard EN 10169-3 : “Flat products in steel continuously coated
in organic material (pre-painted) - part 3 : product for interior
applications in the construction industry”.
• Steel : S350 GD in accordance with standard NF EN 10326. • The version specially adapted for use as a composite beam
with Hilti or Nelson type conncetors fitted across the steel floor
Formwork deck is called COFRAPLUS 60 : special fabrication on request.
Cofraplus 60 serves as load-bearing formwork, between joists
for laying without props, or between lines of props and joists.
Its lightness faciliates the handling of large floor decks delivered COFRAPLUS 60 C
up to a length of 15 metres. (bottom of rib connector version)
Steel reinforcement
The lateral notching binds to the concrete to form a composite
floor slab.
As a steel reinforcement, Cofraplus 60, in 0,75 mm thickness adds
10,29 cm2/ml or 13,91 cm2/ml of steel with a thickness of 1,00 mm • COFRAPLUS 60 can be prepunched to enable welded studs to
in the span direction of the floor. be fitted in the workshop.
Coating This version is called COFRAPLUS 60 P :
• galvanised Z 275. Study and fabrication on request.
• pre-painted galvanised : (up to a thickness of 1,00 mm).
Interior 12 :

APPLIED LOADS
The Technical Aproval of Cofraplus 60 takes account of the distributed, concentrated and linear loads.
It is formulated for load intensities not exceeding the following limits :
• static point load : < 20 kN • dynamic point load : < 15 kN • moving loads for vehicles
• static linear load : ≤ 10 kN par lm and spaced at at least 1,20 m where the maximum load per
from each other. axle does not exceed 30 kN.
These limitations are applied in the absence of a complete check of the distribution of the loads.
PERMISSIBLE SPANS L (cm) in the construction stage when fitting the standard version of Cofraplus 60
• In the construction stage, Cofraplus 60 thickness 0,75 mm can withstand spans to limits L according to the table below which takes
account of the deflection conditions L/240.
• When lines of props are required, they must divide the span into equal parts.

Fire resistance

surface temperature criteria.
In the absence of special reinforcement Cofraplus floor achieves FR 30’ grade. For higher FR grades, the resistance of the floor for
the required fire exposure time must be justified by taking into account only the additional reinforcement provided to the slab.

The acoustic behaviour of the subfloor corresponds to mass law. (values calculated by modelling)

MESH REINFORCEMENT, SLAB DEPTH AND PROPPING REQUIREMENTS UNDER TYPICAL APPLIED LOADS
These tables apply to simple cases where there are distributed loads and equal spans.
Using the Cofra 4 software, our technical team can carry out composite floor deck studies in the shortest possible time.

no props 1 line of props during laying 2 lines of props during laying 3 lines of props during laying
Hypotheses used :
- Equal spans, - Deflection during laying = L/240,
- Distributed live load, - Active deflection in service = L/350 if L ≤ 350 cm and
- Permanent load nil, L/700 + 0,5 cm if L > 350 cm,
- Normal weight concrete 2400 daN/m3, - Réduction of maximum moment on support = 15 %.
- Steel reinforcement : yield point 500 MPa,
Nota : for all other assumptions, further calculations must be carried out.
